Best Budget Knife
This is a very high quality knife for the money. Very solid lock up and very sharp. The steel isn’t the best but for 50 bucks you get a rock solid folder with an Emerson wave. I have the endura as well and I prefer the grip on the Cara Cara better. It’s just a really well made knife especially for what you pay for it.

Excellent
This is an excellent training knife, I carry an Emerson Wave Endura for edc and I practice with my Cara Cara. Just dull the edge

Great value, awesome knife
The media could not be loaded. The Byrd Cara Cara 2 is a great knife for the price. The wave feature is awesome, takes some getting used to. Would buy again.

Feels like a cheap Spyderco
I recently ordered a Spyderco Matriarch 2 and this knife and you can feel the differences. The Emerson opener works tremendously on the draw and the handle feels like it's made from quality material. It feels weightier (in a good way) than the Cara Cara 2 and is easily flipped open. This knife has a thin, sharp blade that holds a good edge, and once you strop it the knife is razor sharp. It does struggle to be flipped open and when you draw it from your pocket, the blade does not extend the same way the Matriarch does. The clip is solid and the blade has zero play in it. The machining on the locking mechanism is left rough and the opening and the lock isn't as smooth. It's a decent EDC, but the knife feels cheap in the hand. It is light in the pocket and makes a quality knife, albeit economical.

Budget Spyderco
This is clearly a low end budget Spyderco knife. The knife is made in China, with grips that feel cheap and more plastic than not. The blade steel is decent. The knife is stiff, but that should improve over time and a little lube. The pocket clip is typical Spyderco: Sturdy and has their three screw anchoring. You can switch the clip to left / right tip up/ tip down. The hook on the back of the blade works well for those folks who like to use the pocket draw opening.Overall, if you like Spyderco and you want a budget level Spyderco knife, this will fit the bill.

Favorite edc!
I handle a couple of my friends Spyderco and always thought it would be nice to add one to my collection. Never was 100% sold on them. A buddy told me about the Byrd brand and I thought I’d try one of those out before spending a bit more on a Spyderco. I first tried a Cara Cara 2. Liked it very much so. A few days later my friend gets a Cara Cara 2 with an Emerson wave on it. I checked it out and fell in love with it. Became my edc right out of the gate. Blazing fast deployment. Super empress with it. Will be acquiring a true spyderco version of it down the road. Can’t recommend this one enough.

Nice knife for the money
Wanted to check out the emerson opener (wave), and figured why spend 120 on a knife when I can do it for a fraction. Overall its a really good knife for the money. It's sharp and has a nice tight lock up. I definately would buy it again or recommend it.

Not s spyderco
It's a decent cheap knife, but I should have know the price was too low. It's ok if you need something to dig rocks out or clean your finger nails. But the opener sucks. It's slow, unlike a spyderco. And the the Byrd steel is inferior. Just saying if you want the truth.
