B&P LampE-Z Adjustable Crossbar - The Versatile and Easy-to-use Crossbar for Your Lighting fixtures

I picked up a new ceiling light for my foyer and I found that the base was six inches around and no bracket for a 3 1/2 ceiling socket. This one adjusts real nice and it allows to get that base flat to the ceiling where I found nothing else anywhere including my local hardware store. No cons, this adapter saved my life, where I am very happy with the purchase.

My light fixture had an oversized base and needed to be mounted with the bolts 5 1/2 inches apart. This crossbar worked perfectly.

Works but don't expect it to hold up large lights well the adjustable flexibility costs you in total weight capacity. Other than that decent product.

We had a light fixture from a previous house. It had been screwed into the laths in the ceiling. The holes were 5-1/2" apart, much wider than a standard crossbar can handle, so it couldn't be installed in our new house. This item bridged that gap. Thanks to Prime delivery, it arrived while the electricians were still onsite. It was a bargain even at the seemingly high price.I wouldn't hang anything heavy off this (no chandeliers). But for a normal light fixture it's great.

This part comes in very handy. I am installing a vintage "schoolhouse" light fixture. I have no original mounting bracket. Brackets come in sizes that match the fixture. Most fixtures today are smaller diameters. There are no actual brackets available anymore. This is where an "adjustable" bracket comes in handy. You adjust it to the size you need. In MY case, i had to expand it to its fullest length. This is the largest bracket available so I was lucky to find one that fit. You do not find these in most hardware or home enter stores.If you are like me and have a vintage light that you wish to restore and mount, this may be just what you are looking for. It beats coming up with a "makeshift" mount or just screwing it into the ceiling which may not be secure. This seems substantial enough to do a decent job and should adapt to most mounting situations.

Saved me on a light upgrade, the junky crossbar (if you can even call it that) that came with the light wasn't cutting it, having zero-adjustability the stock bar more or less required me to drill holes in it, to maybe get it to work (huge maybe).This one has almost infinite flexibility, and makes a pain-in-the-neck situation become a trivial one, if you're installing into an old box.

I just wasted an hour and a half screwing around with this because there are no instructions! Maybe I’m just an idiot, but instructions seem like a pretty basic component.
