Don't go trekking without them!
I bought these poles for my recent Tour du Mont blanc trekking trip. Ten days of trekking with a sixteen kilogramme pack on my back, over very rough terrain, really put these poles to the test. They couldn't have performed any better. At sixty eight years old, I needed all the help I could get and these poles did the trick.

A good set of telescopic walking poles.
Several months ago, I purchased a pair of Nordic walking poles by TheFitLife and at less than £20 I found them to be excellent value for money. As I needed another set for my wife, I thought I’d take another look at their range. This carbon fibre set came with the same accessories and carrying bag but look more robust. These have Cork grip handles and EVA ones, and they have a clamping system for adjusting the height instead of the screw type.Overall these look and feel sturdier than the cheaper version and are worth the extra cost.

Changed my life!!
I am in my late 60s and waiting on a 2nd hip replacement. As the hip degenerated, walking for exercise became extremely painful and then impossible. A set of walking poles was recommended by a friend and met with scorn for looking like a poser. As frustration grew, I decided to go for it and bought the set shown. Fantastic! I can now walk 5000 steps or so again. The poles not only help with pain management but also improve posture. I cannot recommend them highly enough if you are in a similar position.

Lightweight and easily adjustable
I’m new to Nordic walking, having started in February this year, and I’ve been borrowing various Leki and Grabel poles from the instructors/walk leaders before considering which poles to buy.I then decided on these poles and they are definitely worth consideration: they are light, strong, stable, reliable and easy to set up and break down. In my view they feel like a good quality pole and would give the Leki and Grabel ones I’ve tried a run for the money. They are easily height adjustable. The grips are comfortable and both the soft ground tips and the rubber ferrules for harder surfaces both work very well.Time will tell re the durability aspect but so far so good, I'm happy with my poles.

Really good
These walking sticks are really good, got them for the whole family to use as they are height adjustable. No need to buy multi sets for different people, just the one set for anyone to use (as long as only 1 person uses it as any time). The height adjusts at 2 places, either in the middle or at the top, very easy to do, just flip the clip and clamp back down once adjusted. The cork handle is very comfortable, easy to grip and if your hands get sweaty or wet they dont slip.So far we haven't used any specific feet, just the standard flat one and it seems fine when out and about but looking at the other feet they should be ok on different terrains.Very lightweight and comes in a nice bag so you can pop them in your car or tie them to your rucksack

wouldn't recommend
Within a mile the ends were lost and one of the tips was broken. Not expecting as reviews were good. Does say in leaflet this might happen but perhaps they should think about improving the quality so things like this don't happen? Wouldn't recommend

Much lighter than ordinary poles, comfortable to hold.
These come with a most helpful guide explaining their use uphill, downhill and crossing a steep slope. Also a handy guide suggesting the length of poles for various height of people to use, so gives you a place to start. Click opens to adjust easily, this also has a screw to adjust tightness of locking closed to prevent sliding. Although I had used trekking poles before there were things in the guide that were new to me. The handles have a comfortable grip, which you can shift down to a lower hand hold when needed quickly. They fold nice and small easily fitting onto a backpack without sticking out. Pleased to have chosen these lightweight poles.

Never thought they were worth it...how wrong I was
Great to provide addition stability on rough ground. Increases your cadence without realising it (stride out and relax). Helps ascents by involving your arms and shoulders. Greater assurance going down hill..and this review is based on a 14 mile and a 24 mile trek along the coastal path of Dorset. I set height by ignoring the height markings and extending the larger sections to maximum and so minimising the length of the narrowest, least strong, section which are more likely to bend if fully extended (not that they will without some force).
