Westcott Ultra Smooth Left and Right Handed Titanium Bonded Straight Scissors, Package of 2, 8"

These very nice scissors at a very reasonable price are nonetheless misrepresented. The ad says they are a "Left and Right Handed" set. What would you expect? Two different scissors? Well, no, you get two straight scissors that you should be able to use with either hand. I bought the set since my wife is very left handed and would get a workable pair. She can use them but they are not left-handed scissors. Not a minor point really, so three stars.

Sharpest scissors I have ever used. Tape does not stick to them, too. However they were both RIGHT-HANDED! Tough for arthritic me to use left-handed. My right-handed spouse kept them. I cannot trust this vendor to attempt a re-order as I noticed the picture showing TWO RIIGHT-HANDED scissors that I failed to notice prior to ordering. Live and learn.

I've been using these scissors for years and think they're awesome. The grip is comfortable and they do a great job!

I bought these and was so happy initially with them, that I ordered several pairs and used them for various things throughout the house. All of them broke within 30 days. The metal blades are good, but they only extend a short way into the beginning of the handles, and then it is cheap plastic with a softer grip for comfort, but it also lacks strength and that is where the pressure is when you are cutting. Since it is somewhat flexible, it does not hold up to the pressure of your thumb when cutting. It quickly breaks and you can see in the pictures that there is nothing strong above the blades, it is only plastic. They all broke in the same place, and they were used for different things. One of them did not even last through gift wrapping for Christmas. A scissor should not wear out and break cutting wrapping paper.

good for left handed folks

Nothing might stick to these, but the blades stick together! It feels like there is something sticky on them. No, they were not dirty, when I received them. Smooth they are NOT.

Excellent scissors. Two pack at a great price

We have only used them for two weeks. We have many scissors but these are the now the only ones we are first ones we grab for cutting anything. We like them a lot and the price is reasonable for titanium scissors.
