Really surprised me.
Just because I look for this when purchasing watercolor here are the pigments for each:BRILLIANT PINK: PR209, PW6...SHELL PINK: PO34, PR9, PW6...JAUNE BRILLIANT #2: PO20, PW6...NAPLES YELLOW: PY35, PBr24, PW6...GREEN PALE: PG7, PY74, PW6...EMERALD GREEN NOVA: PY3, PG7, PW6...HORIZON BLUE: PG7, PB15, PW6...BLUE GREY: PB15:3, PB29, PW6...LILAC: PR122, PV23, PW6...LAVENDER: PB28, PV15, PW6...PURPLE GREY: PR122, PW6...NEUTRAL TINT: PB66, PBk11..So. First off Jaune Brilliant #2 ( PO20- Cadmium Orange )and Naples Yellow ( PY35- Cadmium Yellow) has genuine cadmium and Lavender(PB28-Cobalt Blue) has cobalt. So if that's something your not cool with you know now. =] Also there are quite a few fugitive colors here. Not sure that even matters Here but just incase. The colors are really pretty. They dry down quite a bit. No cracking, nice and creamy. Really great for fun little paintings.

Fantastic Watercolor Paints
If you are looking for a pastel set, get these! I had purchased pastel sets from other brands before and they were never pigmented enough to be of any use and were disappointing (i.e., Prima Vintage Pastels set). But these Shinhan tints are WONDERFUL - creamy and pigmented and sheer. I use them dried in a half pans and they reactivate very well and are really nice to use. And at this price for 15ml tubes, much more cost effective than the other alternatives. Super glad I got this set!

Such beautiful pastel colors!
These paint are so beautiful they are so easy to paint with! You can get sheer light colors if you want and they blend so nicely! Amazing watercolors I would recommend them!

Smooth and pigmented!
I’m a beginner in watercolor and wanted to find pastel colors I could work with. I heard great things about this brand and wanted to give it a try. It’s a great value for the amount you get and they’re very pigmented! A little goes a long way.

beautiful pastels
I think these are for someone that has a little experience with more transparent w/c's. I love them and am very happy I bought them but I'm a little more experienced.I also paid $20 more than most because Amazon didn't offer me their best price.I did get a $10 credit which was better than nothing.

Pastel set
I've had Shin Han paints before in a larger set and I really like them a lot. I bought this set because they're the extra fine artist quality but I was suprised when I got the set because I found that, except for the neutral tint, the rest of the colors are quite pastel. I don't know why I didn't realize that when I ordered them. That's fine, though, because I used them to fill my cloverleaf palette and I'm going to consider it a botanical set. I think the colors are quite lovely and will work well for that purpose. I have plenty of other paint sets that can be used for every other purpose and it hadn't occurred to me that I should have a botanical set, but it was serendipitous that these came along and I wasn't paying attention. lol The cloverleaf palette has 13 full pans and one half pan. I filled the half pan with white gouache and used the set of 12 paints to fill 12 of the full pans. I still have one empty full pan if I should want to put some other color in it someday.I highly recommend this set, but be aware that all the colors are pastel shades. If you're looking for something that's more basic and not pastel, then this set wouldn't be right for you, I don't tahink. The set doesn't include any earth colors and the neutral tint is quite black as it comes out of the tube.
