Some reviewers said the eraser doesn't work, and the chalk barely wrote. The board my daughter has is made of plastic, not a real black board. One thing I noticed as with every chalk, the sharp edges wrote thin and light, but the more the edges were worn, the easier it wrote. Side of chalk filled in the Elmo face I drew for her birthday just fine, and all of the colors showed up. The eraser worked well for the purpose. It didn't erase perfectly unless I cleaned the chalk residue off, but I think for the price, and how many pieces, this set was perfect for my 2 year old. With supervision of course so she didn't eat the chalk. The chalk did break, but with too much pressure in the middle all chalk breaks. All in all, very good product.

This chalk is fine, bit it’s tough and scratches on chalkboard. I prefer softer chalk.

The yellow marker was dried up and would not work, however all the other colors work great.

Exactly as described and the eraser works AMAZING! I didn't expect my chalk board to look as if I sprayed it with water/cleaner and wiped it with a rag! That's how well it worked on a small 1 1/2' X 2' chalk board that's actually a rustic living room wall decoration. Great price too.

Bought this for my nephew for his summer camp. Some of his friend and teacher wants to buy it too after seeing this cute chalk and eraser set.

Unfortunately not happy at all. When I received this item, not only did the packaged looked beat up but all my chalk was broken into little tiny pieces and dust!!!!! ... my little son was so upset bc it was for his new chalkboard! ... ps one upset mother! 😡
