The Economics Book: From Xenophon to Cryptocurrency, 250 Milestones in the History of Economics (Union Square & Co. Milestones)

Professor Medema is the finest professor I have ever had the privilege learning from; he has also become a dear friend over the years. Long ago, he inspired my love of economics in his principles of microeconomics module approximately 15 years ago; then again with his history of economic thought course a couple years later. The inspiration he cultivated through his knowledge of the subject encouraged me to evolve, experiment, and grow. This led me to St Andrews, LSE, George Washington University and King's College at Cambridge University -- where Keynes and Marshall were, among others. His research is first-class. The Economics Book is an excellent introduction to most important economic subjects. Mostly qualitative, it will help teach you how to think about the worlds of economics, ideas, history and more. I highly, highly recommend this book, as well as all others by Dr. Steven G. Medema (Duke University).
