I have had several early, low cost, ‘dumb’ robot vacuum cleaners over the years. These old robots randomly ‘bounce’ their way around a room cleaning as they go. They actually often managed to do a decent job though if a room wasn’t ‘prep’d’ in advance they would often get entangled in electrical cables, on rugs or stuck somewhere to the point where using them often seemed more bother than simply doing the vacuuming yourself.The Roborock S5 Max is as far removed from these earlier machines as is possible . It is a true, ‘intelligent’ autonomous robot no physical preparation is required, and once the app has been set up the Roborock is a joy to use. It cleans thoroughly and quietly. Rather than vacuuming one or twice a week, we run Roborock every day, our hard floor house is cleaner than it has ever been. The mop function is brilliant and cleans well. For a really good clean I will lightly spray the floor with diluted floor cleaner in advance, the Roborock does the rest.There’s some discussion about using the Roborock on multiple floors. It is true that you can only store and edit one map at the moment but this isn’t really an issue in our experience. Our downstairs is mapped with rooms and no go zones marked out . Upstairs is effectively ‘free’ navigation each time we run the Roborock up there but it still does a tremendous job and gets everywhere that we need it to.Our downstairs open floor area, excluding solid furniture like sofas, cabinets and kitchen cupboards, is about 70 sqm and takes under and hour to clean thoroughly with about half the Roborock’s charge. When finished, it navigates ‘home’ and recharges .We’ve only had it two weeks so I can’t speak to it’s longevity yet but with our experience with is thus far I really can’t praise it highly enough. And excellent bit of kit.

After reading many reviews and comparisons, finally opted for this S5 Max. What a piece of kit this is. Our house has never been so clean, and friends always commented on how clean our house was before I bought the S5 Max. It is great to know that it is clean every single day.I love the mopping facility, the no zone areas, the no mopping areas, the room clean, the zone clean, the mapping. I think this will prove to be one of the best household appliances we have ever bought.On an associated matter, I originally installed the Roborock app, but the spotted that the MiHome app had a few more facilities. However, I found it to be unstable. At times it struggled to load the map. So I reverted back to the Roborock app. This does not have room naming or remote control of the cleaner, but it is much more reliable. The missing facilities are not really necessary anyway.PS Just changed to the Roborock Plus app. I am now able to use Alexa for some control of the S5 Max.

Been using this robot vacuum for a few weeks now, so here are my thoughts on it so far.Setting it up was pretty easy - the thing that took the most time was registering on the app and linking the vacuum to the WiFi. Using it for the first time taught me the things I had to move to give the vacuum best access to all areas. Unlike when you vacuum yourself, when you tend to move things as you go, using this robot vacuum you'll need to move everything before it starts so that it can map all obstructions.So, how does it perform? Overall pretty well. I've only used the vacuum function so far, not the mop function. The route the vacuum takes doesn’t always seem to be the most efficient and logical, but it does clean pretty much all accessible areas. It can move easily between hard floor and carpet/rug, adjusting power automatically as does so. It does a good job of cleaning under most of our furniture, which is more difficult to reach with a normal vacuum.One thing it doesn't seem to be very good at is vacuuming right into the corners. It's round shape doesn’t help, and the little rotating brush which is good at flipping debris along edges into the path of the main brush doesn’t reach into tight corners. This means you'll have to clean the corners afterwards by hand. Hence, only 4 out of 5 stars.Overall though, I'm really happy with this robot vacuum and, whilst the novelty may wear off, it's good fun watching it navigate around the house from the comfort of the sofa.

The robot itself works great (although I'll note it can be found a good £100 cheaper in the Black color).Hoovering and mopping works great, takes a few runs to get a proper map of your house but once done it's super efficient. For my house, it takes about 25 minutes to mop compared to 90 plus taken by older non-mapping models.Just make sure if you buy this version you have an EU plug adaptor, as it does come with a 2-pin plug - I luckily had one lying around.

You can't put a price on saving your life!! Well, Christine as we've named her, is brilliant. Vaccuums everywhere really well, corners, up to and along walls and everywhere is perfect, including under counter tops and book cases.Mopping is good for the middle ¾ of the robot, but the mop doesn't go right up to the edges or into corners properly.It would be good to be able to label rooms, so you could use Google Assistant to "Tell Christine to clean the kitchen", and going from one mop zone to another doesn't turn off the mop function, even if carpet or rugs are between them. Marking the rug as a no-mop-zone means she can't get to the second mop area.She has difficulty getting onto a rug, generally from one side, but she perseveres and eventually gets up there.We would 100% get another in the future.

Ich habe den Saug-Wisch Roboter nun seit Okt. 2020 , 3x Wöchentlich im Einsatz.Die Wohnung ist 125m² (Bild1) groß eine Ebene und hat Büro Auslegeware sowie auch eine Schurwolle 20mm höhe Auslegeware, die Wischfunktion kommt bei uns in der Küche, Bad und Gäste WC zum Einsatz.Gesaugt wird mit dem Standard von Roboroc Hepa Filter der nach JEDEM Einsatz ausgeklopft wird.Gewischt wird mit heißem Wasser und einem Schuss Essig-Essenz im Tank.Keine Haustiere (Katze o. Hund)Die App ist für den Erst Start vollkommen verständlich, selbst erklärend. Die Erfassung der Räume hat auf Anhieb funktioniert. Die Einbindung in Amazon Alexa hat sofort funktioniert. Die Fernsteuerung in der App, um ihn aus der Garage zu holen, macht das was zu erwarten ist. Einzelaufträge, Raumauswahl, funktionieren tadellos.Das Saugen, tja sind halt nur 2000 Pa, kommt also nicht an meinen Dyson heran, ist ja auch unfair. Aber für den Schneefall in der Wohnung ist er grandios. Wie beschrieben, wenn ich den Roborock S5Max 3x die Woche durch die Räume saugen lasse, ist der Staub in der Wohnung erheblich weniger. Und ja, der Arbeitsbereich sollte frei sein. Sind bei mir 10 Objekte die weggeräumt werden sollten. Jetzt nach 2 Jahren Betrieb ist die Saugleistung immer noch hoch, und der Akku ist nicht so leer, dass der Roboter auf den letzten Watt in die Ladestation fährt, zirka 25% Akku noch. Das Saubermachen des Staubauffangbehälters ist leicht (Bild3). Hin und wieder mal mit heißem Wasser ausspülen, abtrocknen und mit dem HEPA-Filter wieder in den Roboter zurück stecken. Bei mir ist unter einem Schrank Platz (Bild2), so dass er da ohne die Optik zu stören oder "och was hast du denn DA?!" seinen Stellplatz hat.Die Küche, Bad und G-WC sind gefliest. Dort lasse ich ihn ausgewählt seinen Dienst tun. Denn der S5 MAX kann den Mop nicht hochfahren, was bei Teppich oder dicker Auslegeware dazu führt, dass er doch schnell den Akku aufbraucht. Deshalb wischen im "Raum" Programm definieren und ihn auch nur dafür losschicken. Das Wischen der Böden funktioniert genauso gut wie das saugen, aber einmal im Monat sollte doch mit etwas anderem als Essig gewischt werden, wegen der Ecken und dem Glanz der Fliesen.Fazit: Ja, der Roboter erfüllt seinen Auftrag mit Teppich und Hartböden in einem einfachen Haushalt (2 Menschen, Kochen essen leben, HO). Den Preis empfinde ich als gerechtfertigt, denn eigentlich braucht man so was nicht, ist Luxus. Denn es muss doch aufgeräumt sein damit es sinnhaft ist.Das nächste Gerät wird mehr Saugleistung haben, das Liften des Mop und zwei rotierende Bürsten.Achja, das gilt für alle. Wenn möglich den Internet Gastzugang für die Internet-Kommunikation des Roboters verwenden.

Zeer goed product. Doet wat hij moet doen alleen dweilfunctie is niet veel soeps. Wel zeer fijne applicatie.

Ha cumplido perfectamente. Yo lo uso para un piso de unos 80 metros cuadrados (una planta). De los cuales serán habitables/aspirables unos 70. Tarda unos 40 minutos en aspirar toda la casa.La potencia de succión es muy buena, me ha llegado a aspirar desde monedas hasta un lápiz. En las reseñas suele poner que la máquina no te quita de pasar la aspiradora normal una vez a la semana, pero mi experiencia es que si barres las esquinas y las zonas inaccesibles por la máquina de vez en cuando, no hace falta. Eso sí, yo paso la máquina a diario.Respecto al fregado hay que tener en cuanta que no friega, el concepto es más bien pasar la mopa húmeda. Te quita todo el polvo y según el tipo de suelo hay que poner un producto tipo vinagre o limpiasuelos para que quede brillante. Pero No friega, es mopa. Si hay manchas de comida etc, hay que pasar la fregona normal.La batería en mi piso no se llega a agotar nunca.Y el mapeo es perfecto, no me da los fallos que hacia la máquina de cecotec. Y por la noche(sin luz) se orienta perfectamente.El único pero que tengo es que solo se puede manejar desde un dispositivo. De tal forma que si mi mujer quiere aspirar una habitación me tiene que coger mi teléfono para usar la app. Si lo estoy en casa le tiene que dar al botón físico y que aspire toda la casa.

Deze S5 enkele weken geleden aangekocht, wat een super apparaat, zuigt en dweilt super. Zoekt fijn zijn weg. Blijft nergens hangen. Tot u één vreemde situatie. na één week wilde de S5 niet meer opladen, deed zijn werk goed, vond het dock, maar wilde niet opladen. 2 dagen mee zitten rommelen, contact met de helpdesk gehad van Roborock, advies na 2 dagen stuur toch maar terug er moet iets kapot zijn. Na 2 dagen was de power gedaald tot 17% en dacht ik, ik zet hem nog een keer weer op het dock en voilà hij laad wel weer op. Retourzending gestopt. Nu dus nog even in afwachting van de laatste 5e ster
