Note that this review is written from the point of view of an adult user. I expect the product to work well with infants and children, but that was not part of my testing.For reasons I can't easily explain, I've always struggled with using ear thermometers. Perhaps my ear canals are oddly shaped, or perhaps I'm just a putz at using them, but it's always been a pain for me to get a good reading. The whole "pull on your ear with one hand while crossing over your other arm to hold the thermometer and take the reading" thing rarely got me a consistent reading. Interestingly, when I had my wife use one, either on me or on herself, she had no such issues.Getting sick of having to have my wife take my temperature to get a good reading, I next turned to a swipe-style forehead thermometer, expecting that to solve my problem. And while the readings were somewhat more consistent, I still seemed to struggle to get repeatable readings. And that called into question either my technique or the accuracy of the instrument.When I had home guest recently and one of them came down with a very nasty cold, I decided I was sick of struggling with these and would make my third attempt at improving on basic oral thermometers. After comparing a few models on Amazon and reading reviews, I settled on the Mosen. There are a lot of very similar models offered, which makes choosing a confusing proposition. Ultimately the tie-breaker was a coupon that made this one of the most affordable options.I've had it now for a few weeks, and have made a point of testing it on numerous occasions to see if I've really found the answer at last. And I think I have!While I did try it in ear mode, it's forehead mode that I've been using regularly. And it's an absolute breeze to use. Fast, simple, easy to mute, and more consistent & repeatable readings than I've ever had from a non-oral thermometer.Should anything change in the upcoming months, I'll update my review. But as of now, I'm extremely happy with both the performance and the value.

I really love this thermometer. Not only does it have a sleek look and feel, but I get consistently accurate results and feel that it is easy to use. I like the the cap that switches it from forehead to ear mode is magnetic, so I'm not struggling to pop it off like I have with another similar thermometer I have. It has several different modes (ear/forehead/adult/child/ambient) that are easy to switch through. I also really like that you can quickly check the temperature of a room. Our baby monitor's temperature reading is inaccurate, so I like that I can easily double check that our baby's room isn't too warm. Would buy again!

It is very reliable and really straightforward to use. I was tired of use the old fashion way mercury thermometers. I decided to jump to a digital infrared. After a careful look at the reviews of dozens of different thermometers I chose Mosen. I am really happy. I did lots of tests comparing with my old thermometers and it is really precise. I was impressed with the reading speed. In less than 2 seconds I had the temperature in the display. It is just one button to turn it on/off and a second one to get the measurement. Great price, reliable measurement, and worthy purchase. I recommend.

Easy to use and usually accurate enough, but suffers inaccuracies at times on the forehead reader, sometimes fairly bad, requiring more patient ear temp checks. Good for the price, but definitely not as good as some better quality variants with more accurate functionality, which are likely higher priced, esp. if not made in China.

We had a similar thermometer from WalGreens for years and there is a definite learning curve with figuring out how to get the most accurate reading and this style thermometer - I do suggest playing around with it and testing temps in multiple locations when someone isn’t feverish And read the instructions. That being said my last thermometer died and I decided to purchase this one to replace it. The price was fair and I got it quickly. My daughter had a fever from an illness and this thermometer read similarly to my oral thermometer. I am very happy with the forehead function. The little bag it comes with is also nice because it gives it a little protection while being stored in my first aid kit.

I had a virus and needed to take my temperature several times a day, though I never had a fever. Thought this would work well for my purposes. I bought it based on the rave reviews. Perhaps I just got a bad thermometer. When it was working for the first day, I found the thermometer fairly easy to use and definitely easy to read.Next day it did not work at all. I put in new batteries, and still no action. According to this thermometer my temperature was 91.6. Wait 15 minutes, the same. Wait 30 minutes, the same. After two days of this I basically gave up.Would like to return (must be returned by May 31st). I am elderly and am Sheltering in Place---exactly why I wanted the thermometer. I hope the company will permit me to return the thermometer after that date, if necessary. Though the return policy is generous and easy, I cannot go to the UPS store or the post office.

I have used a temporal thermometer for years and have gotten very good readings from it. The only downside is its only a temporal scanner. This thermometer gives me the option of getting a tympanic reading as well!! This is so easy to use, and the cover comes off so easily to reveal the ear piece. It gives you a quick accurate reading, so you're not sitting and waiting for it to beep and tell you the temp. It makes middle of the night readings super easy and fast!! If you have kids or will be having kids, please do yourself a favor and order one of these to have in your home!! You will thank me later!!

Not consistent, gives different readings at the same spot...hard to tell if there is a real fever. Even with the ear thermometer I’ll do a temp check twice in the same ear without moving the thermometer out of baby’s ear and different temps. I do like the color coding for temperatures and it’s easy to use.
