Great light. Great seller! I buy a lot on Amazon. I get the same "rate your recent......" follow up emails. I'm busy so regretfully I don't rate my transactions as much as I should.However, Outlite is highly deserving of not only this review but also every single one of those 5 stars. The shipping was super fast. The product is great. I'm kind of a flashlight nut. You know, "look at this flashlight honey!" and the rolled eyes response. I've got a lot of sub $20 flashlights. It's amazing what you can get for that amount but, there's usually one or two things that screams "cheap!". Lousy charger/batteries. Plastic parts that are just waiting to fall off. Or they die in a week. Sometimes.This light looks beautiful. Comes in exceptional packaging. It has a satisfying heft to it. The inclusion of the 2 - 18650 batteries and charger really puts it over the top. 18650 batteries are elbowing AA batteries out of the way. They offer more punch and life. In fact, they even came charged (about 70% charge). Take the time and put one of these in the charger overnight. Then the other one. Yup, they take awhile for that first charge but I wouldn't even consider using the AAA option unless absolutely necessary. Now, the output. How bright is it? I guess the best answer would be "if you need more, you must be a lighthouse"! Really. On the narrow focus setting yes, the pattern is square. Me, I could care less. I prefer keeping the pattern so that it's almost a perfect circle. If you want you can go the the largest spread which is well, huge! In a dark room, it turns night into day. The ENTIRE room! Outside? I live in the western mountain area of Maine. When I take my dog out at night, it is completely dark. Like, blindfolded dark! No light pollution up here! Out back it is the Maine woods. I usually hear breaking twigs and branches when taking my dog out there. It's dead quiet. Spooky quiet. You just know you're being watched. I've been using a pretty decent flashlight they no longer make (sadly) up until now. The difference is major. On high setting with the pattern on its largest and just holding it horizontally, the entire path is illuminated till about 30 feet up the trees! It's really amazing. Really, I can't imagine wanting more. Well, OK, maybe you always WANT more but needing it? I'm serious when I say don't point this in anyone's eyes.....but, this brings up the tactical part of this light. Flashed in the eyes of someone intent on harming you? It could easily disorient them enough to either run away or if necessary, use that scooped out rim to do some serious damage.I have 3 grown daughters. They are all getting one of these. A flashlight, a good one, can truly be a life saver. I can't imagine a better sub $20 gift. Especially for people who usually never consider purchasing a good flashlight. This will blow them away.Kudos to a great product that delivers outstanding value and outstanding customer service. I'm 60 years old now. I've been around. I like to think I've acquired a little wisdom in my 60 years. If I helped someone decide to pull the trigger on purchasing this product, then I'd be happy knowing that.

Worked great for 2 weeks, and now the light is just 1/3 of the original brightness. Since I ordered the flashlight from Amazon US store and my friend got it to India during his travel, there is no point to send it back as the return shipment will kill the deal.Extremely Disappointed.

I don't really need a flash light a lot, just for minor things so this wasn't intended to be a work light. Mine didn't come with the diffuser for some reason no big deal but would have been nice. The button is not glow in the dark which I thought it was its kind of decietfull if you ask me because the picture is deffently enhanced to give you a glow type attribute. My light came with artifacts in the lens and some artifact in the actual led there a couple spots in it but extremely micro in size. The artifacts do not seem to ruin the throw and they do not show up in the beams out put. Quility wise its seems built well the machining of the threads could be a little tighter and the button could be a little better. The battery's are a nice touch but I highly doubt the listed 3,600 mah claim is accurate they seem rather light. I compard the light to a mag light that was rated 245+ lumens. This is brighter but I don't know for sure if it is 900 lumens. We will see how the light holds up I normally only use flash lights to take the trash out or to light up behind the entertainment system nothing demanding of a light. Sometimes I will use it outside like camping or in dark areas maybe some reduntand maintance task where I need a light but I normally prefure a head lamp for maintance tasks. I'll try\test this light and update this sometime in the future.

The order DID NOT include the Lantern Adapter as stated in the description. This item is not shown in the picture as well but I ordered this specifically because the Lantern Adapter was Available in this bundle. So I will be returning the item." And the BEST thing that a vendor can do is make good on someone else's mistake. Amazon has not corrected the description for this item from the other two offers but OUTLITE has made good on the deal anyway.So knowing I will be gifting the E6-GOLD I popped 3 AAA in the holder took it outside. First there should be a warning for the masses to NOT look at this light when on or shine it in someone's face unless it is a defensive maneuver. The light tube is well made and the screw end cap is threaded well and screws off and on without binding, The ON /OFF button and electronics are well made and fitted into the end cap with a quality battery spring. The finish looks like it will last and the focusing slide is smooth and solid. I have not run an extended test for continuous use but will as I will try and use it as a bike head light. The full bright reaches at least 3 1/2 blocks and with it focused you could see a black cat cross the street that far away. 1/2 and 1/4 bright is still bright enough to light a 10 X 12 room very well bounced off the white ceiling. The strobe will be great for night riding. However SOS feature just blinks and goes off. The size of the lite and strong beam will make it great for night sailing and fishing during the summer.The manufacturer should offer a bundle with a RED Lantern attachment as well.
