Great little flashlight. It is small and compact, yet throws a broad light beam several hundred feet easily. I use it to walk my dogs out in the pasture and although I can see the dogs across the field, the light beam is too broad to focus clearly on them. There are several power levels, I use mostly the high and low to save power. The case does get warm if you use the high beam for extended periods. The battery seems to hold up well. I use the light for approximately 15 to 20 minutes each evening and the battery has held up for a week or more. The unit comes with two batteries and a charger. A good deal since the Outlite only uses one battery at a time, leaving you a spare if you need one quickly. I would recommend this! It fits easily in a pocket or purse.

this is a good and affordable flashlight that i carry everyday. works great so far and very bright. i didnt need to charge the battery yet.update: i recently purchased another 501bthis is my second 501b flash light, i bought it because of its compact size and durability, and of course very bright, i carry it everyday at work. however this time, one of the battery does not work(no juice and do not charge), i emailed outlite and they sent out an replacement in no time, very impressive with their customer service. outlite did great job ensuring their customer received the best customer service possible. if i am in the market for another flash light, outlite will definitely my first choice, you earned my business.

Decent product, well worth the price, but there are better options available at the price range. I purchased this, as well as another light for close to the same price. The other one has a zoom function and this one doesn't. They are both very bright, and work extremely well. If you aren't looking for a Zoom, this would be perfect for you. If you want a light for a great price, that will beat anything at your local big box retailer, this is one you should consider. If you want Zoom, look at other choices. You can't go wrong with this purchase though. I only gave it 4 stars, because I believe it could have been a little cheaper based on the price of models with zoom.

This is hard to beat, It is a good, bright flashlight that covers a fairly wide area, with a really bright center spot. The diameter fits brackets, such as the ones for our bicycles. Haveing the batteries and charger is great.I have the zoomable outlite that can also take 3AAA batteries. That is better if you want a wide even coverage. The 501B is more tactical, no focus, no muss no fuss, turn it on and go,Since you do get 2 batteries, you could get the zoomable one for general use, or get the Ultrafire 502B Red, or keep it as a spare battery. :-)

this light is fairly bright compare to my led maglite that uses 2 AA batteries.Battery charge is good as well, I have been using it for 2 months on and off without recharging so far.Now the down side..This light is only good for situation where you only need to keep the light on for short period of time as it gets really really hot if you have it on for more than a minute.

really convenient for all types of applications (keep in car, in pocket, etc...) Really powerful despite its small size.The 2 batteries are a nice touch. If you use your flashlight for week end camping, you may want to get a few more batteries and a multi battery charger, as this one only accomodates one battery at a a time. For home use however, it's not a problem.

Bright light. Great price! I have to question the 900 lumens brightness as I also have a Guard dog Edge 260 lumens flashlight, that is an inch longer, and when both are on I can see no substantial difference in the brightness of them. Maybe the Edge is 900 lumens and not 260??????? I would deffinately recommend this flashlight.
