These bootshoes were made for me. I am in love.
**Important tips-Get half a size up from what you normally wear. I am size 10 and I ordered 10.5 and they are perfect!-if you feel the insole around the heel area and there is a small pinch in it that bugs you. Remove the insole and adjust it, smooth it out. If that doesn't solve it the small kink also goes away once you put some miles into them.Ok, where do I begin..Let me tell you a bit about myself so you know what kind of person these were made for.I am a Male from Hawaii who lives in the Pacific Northwest. It rains.. alot. I hike... alot. I outdoors... alot.... This is where these come into the picture. My wife likes things that look presentable. If it were up to me I would be strolling into my 9-5 looking like mountain man wearing practical clothing for practical use.I wear these shoes to the office. I wear these shoes to dinner. I wear these shoes on the mountain. I get them wet. I get them dirty. I wash them. I dry them. I wax them, you get the picture. They do everything I need to do.ProsLook like a dress sneaker to appease your S.OVibram mega grip sole with flex plate (best grip of all vibram patterns IMO)Solid footing and air cushion in the heelRubber toe protectionExtremely comfortable - no break inLightweightDurable so farNot too hotWaterproof, jump in mud, puddles, etc. Hidden protip: beesewax the tongue and mesh lace area with a hairdryer if you know your going to need the water protection.ConsMy wife now hates them because it's all I wear... to everything. Mission accomplishedI am seriously considering buying all the colors. With all that said they wear like a boot and a sneaker.. so if you have never worn boots they might feel a little brutish (in a good way) I would say give em a try and if you don't like them you can always send them back. Will update review to report on wear and tear.Get outside boys n gals. Get dirty, make memories, have fun. Aloha*UPDATE** 2/20My wife made me buy a second pair because I would get them so dirty and muddy on the weekends and I wouldn't get a chance to wash them for work lol. So far I have logged 50 miles in them and they feel great I have also used them in snow with no problems. I found out the best way to lace these bad boys;Step 1 – Once you've laced your boots up traditionally, do not cross your laces over at the top. Lace vertically at the top two hooks or eyelets.Step 2 – Then cross over and thread the lace under the vertical line you have just created.Step 3 – Repeat for the other side.Step 4 – Pull to tighten the laces then tie together as usual using a normal knot to create the bow. Will update in at 100 mile markUpdate 4/20Solid. 50+ mountain trail miles in them since last update. They only see the outdoors now with the pandemic. These are the best everyday walkers if you can spare 30 seconds to lace them out the door. Will update at 6 mo mark from purchase.Oct 2020 updateThese are still my go to's. Hiked hundreds of miles now in them this year. I own 2 pairs.Still solid.June 2021 updateI have a hundred or so miles in my second pair, no damage and still doing fine!March 2022 updateSecond pair still solid. First pair still solid!!Sept 2022 updateBoth pairs still wearable, first on its way out from losing grip on the sole from wear.

Small, comfortable, and warm
Definitely order at least 1/2 size bigger. I've been wearing them for the past 7 days and they are very comfortable with great traction in the rain.My only complaint is that they don't breathe at all. I've tried different socks (wool, cotton, thin, thick, etc.) but my feat still sweat more than in other Merrell WP boots. But they are still very comfortable and good looking.

Loved them
These are a great pair of light weight hikers. I wore them for more than a year and a half almost everyday. I paid just under $100 for them. I want to purchase another pair but they are more than $250 now! They are well worth the $100 price tag, bit not worth more than2x the price I paid a year and a half ago.You need to fix this Merrell.

Just what the mountains ordered!
I was in need of a new pair of hiking boots and wanted something not only comfortable, but with a bit of style and versatility. With the different color options, these caught my eye(I went with the brown and od greed!) Broke them in hitting a couple of local hikes here in Los Angeles. From Bronson Caves up to the Hollywood sign, Betty Darling trail and a few full on gun range training days, these kicks are responsive. Great grip and they feel like sneakers. I prefer to wear ankle socks, and found it neccessary to wear longer socks as they are quite abrasive around the exposed area of my upper ankle area when tied to the top. But not that much of a big deal. I didn't want to pay too much for a new pair of shoes, but for quality, comfort and a damn good looking pair of boots, the price is worth it (I actually had some unused points that I used towards Amazon gift cards which helped me pay..). I expect to put a lot of miles in them!

The shoe fell apart in less than 3 months.
I bought these lovely Merrells in December because I needed a new pair of winter shoes. Unfortunately, one shoe ripped only after two-three months of moderate use.I work in the office, so the impact was minimal, I'd say.Sadly, the new $100-pair-of-shoes did not last as my other Merrell hiking shoes had lasted before.

Most comfortable hiking shoe for me!
I have 2 pair of these in case Merrell decides to discontinue this design. Most comfortable hiker I've ever owned. I wear these everyday and they are warm in the winter and not too hot in the summer.

Talla 1/2 número menor al habitual
Buen producto, pero es conveniente tener en cuenta que se debe ordenar 1/2 número más del habitual. Soy 11 y solicité 11, 5 me quedó perfecto

Great looking boot and super toasty.
Just got these in the other day so I can't really praise them too high or bash them but so far so good. I work overseas with all types of weather and walking on gravel all day. the past couple days I've worn them my feet have stayed dry and noticed how well they handle rocks, the cushion is outstanding. When I've walked on ice they feel like I have cleats on, barely any slippage. If you tend to have sweaty feet I'd highly advise against the need to wear thick socks since they are so warm without them. Defiantly order them a half a size bigger since they do run a little small and don't fear if you have wide feet as I do, tons of room in the toe area and not as cramped as you'd think. I love these things so much I ordered the lows for summer time use and when I'm home.

Fantastic boots
Fantastic boots, very lightweight and cozy. They are comfortable for the temperatures around 0 Celsius. I normally wear size 9.5 however these ones I bought in size US 10 and they feet perfect.

Waterproof doesn't work
I bought these a year ago and enjoyed them till just recently. The problem is my feet are getting wet when walking in the rain or stepping briefly in small puddles ... the waterproof membrane has stopped working. I didn't do anything unusual that might have caused this issue to arise. Mostly I've used them for everyday wear in colder weather and occasional day hikes of 1 - 2 hours. There's no reason for this to happen except shoddy materials. I'm wondering if this is a scam knock-off !
