Fantastic pro level tripod at a budget price
Often times you get what you pay for. If you buy a really cheap tripod, you will typically get something that is flimsy and will fall apart on you. If you want real quality, most really great pro level tripods come with a hefty price tag (the others I own range from $300 to over $1000). However, with this Endurax tripod you get an incredibly well built, sturdy, and great functioning tripod at a very reasonable price. I was thoroughly impressed with it.BUILD QUALITY/FUNCTIONALITY:The tripod is incredibly well built and feels very sturdy. I am not sure of the exact material used, but it feels like it is made of a solid aluminum alloy, which is the same material many other pro tripods are made of. The center column is just one piece which makes it feel makes it feel incredibly sturdy even when fully extended. The legs extend in 3 segments with locking clasps instead of twist locks which I prefer in my tripods since I feel it is faster to open and close as well as easier to know that the legs are locked. I think the biggest selling point of this tripod is the maximum height. It extends up to 78 inches (6 feet 5 inches), which unless you're a giant individual will be more than tall enough for any use case. This max height is very handy for times where you need a higher prospective or if you are traveling and want to get the shot over the heads of the other tourists :) However, being 5'10" what I really appreciate about how tall the tripod gets is that I don't actually extend all 3 segments of the legs (just the top 2) or fully extend the center column to get it to eye level height. What this means is that because the tripod does not have to be fully extended, I get that much more stability out of it. However, in my testing, even fully extended the tripod feels incredibly stable even with heavier camera gear on top of it.The center column can also be taken off and but on upside down (inverted) for things such as macro and product shots. This is always a nice feature to have. This tripod can also be converted into a monopod by removing the center column and one of the legs and attaching them together. I really don't use monopods so this feature is not really something I personally need in a tripod. However, if you shoot a lot of video or find yourself in tighter places where you need some stability but don't have enough room to open a tripod (like sports shooters on the sidelines at sporting events), then this can really be an incredibly valuable feature to have.BALLHEAD:The ballhead of this tripod is incredibly well built and feels fantastic to use. I was actually surprised to find such a well built head on a tripod of this price. There 3 knobs on the base, one to adjust the tension of the panning, one to adjust the tension of the ballhead and one to lock down the ballhead. These knobs feel great and are easy to adjust and all of the moving parts on the ball head move very smoothly and are easy to adjust and lock down. I had no problems panning or adjusting angles when using. There are also two bubble levels, one on the top of the top plate, and another on the knob that locks down the quick release plate. The quick release plate is also arca-swiss compatible which is a huge bonus for me since all of my other tripods/ballheads use this type of plate.WEIGHT/PORTABILITY:Being a larger aluminum tripod, this is not the lightest tripod on the market. However, it is also not that heavy and a very good weight for it to be both very portable but with enough weight to be stable. It would really be great if Endurax would make a carbon fiber version of this tripod to cut down on some of the weight without sacrificing any of the stability and functionality. You can also invert the legs and collapse the tripod down to around 23inches. For me personally this a little taller than I would like for a travel tripod. However, this a very tall and sturdy tripod so the slightly taller collapsed size is a minor trade off I am willing to make. The one thing I would like to see added to this tripod would be the ability to remove the rubber feet of the legs and add spikes for use on more rugged terrain. This is not something that is a flaw of the tripod since the rubber feet works incredibly well, but a feature that would be nice to have. This really is a great tripod and if you are looking for an incredibly well built, well working and tall tripod at an affordable price, I would highly recommend this tripod.

A professional’s tripod
This tripod is a great replacement for my old Manfrotto (that weighed close to 10lbs)This Endurax tripod is more appropriate for my professional work thst I can take on the go for on location work or in the studio. It does fold, comes with a carry strap and case. But I would not say this is a “travel” tripod because the metal components and legs add great strength, but adds weight. But it can pack up to conserve space. The ball head is smooth and can tighten and loosen in about 1 1/2 turns. It had an Arca Swiss style plate which some view to be more secure and stable way to mount your camera or tele-photo lens. The legs adjustment is quick release latches that hold well. The angle adjustment is the first that I’ve seen of this design. The plate plug pulls out to release and push in to lock on the angle level of your choice. Usually, angle adjusters are spring loaded, but this is nice too.At it’s full height, it reaches 78” high, yet it still maintains stability with it’s wide leg base.Covering to a monopod is fast and quick.Overall, I love having this in my studio. Has all the components you need for your studio and location setup.

Took a chance on an upgrade... And LOVE IT!
My Manfrotto tripod finally died and I needed a new tripod for my on-course shooting for Back In The Fairway. After doing a bit of research, I found the Endurax brand lat month. I purchased the cheaper $40 model to give them a try. After being very impressed with it, I decided that I would try and find something a bit taller and gave the brand a second try. I am SO glad I did. This tripod is absolutely perfect for my needs.First off, the tripod is solid as can be. The slip connectors for the legs lock and unlock extremely quickly. The Ball system is very easy to adjust as well. The click mount seems to be the same between Endurax models, which again is a bit of a bonus as an owner of another model. Now, one complaint here - as someone that swaps cameras often, it would be nice if a stand in this range came with a backup mount - but that's a small thing in my opinion.Pros: Priced about half of the competitive models, very quick to setup, locks down very tight, works great with cellphones to DSLR to full video units,, extremely stable, fits in storage bag.Cons: Only has one camera mount included. - yes, that's it...

Sturdy tripod
This is an awesome Tripod. I’ve been looking for a taller tripod for a while but wasn’t able to find one that’s sturdy enough for my Nikon camera. This one is quite sturdy and easy to assemble. The bottom of the tripod doesn’t skid easily and are not tough on my delicate wood flooring.

Received Entire Wrong Tripod
The tripod looks great, but I couldn't figure out why I was uncomfortable with it for the price. I bought this as I will be using a heavy lens on it. Low and behold the tripod in the actual tripod box is not what is in the box. Its very frustrating. Normally I wouldn't care, but I NEED this for work and it already took over 2 weeks to get here. At this point this is not only a seller, but Amazon problem. While I realize they were prioritizing things, its been two months. There is plenty around and I feel the prioritizing things is just an excuse. Then this is seller/manufacture problem as the tripod in the box is wrong. Needless to say my experience is not great at this point and of course it will be at least a week before I get my replacement. I hope to maybe update about the actual tripod usage at that point.

Lightweight: NO, Robust: YES, YES, YES
The headline says it all. Rather heavy but the best Tripod I have ever owned. Every aspect that I need from a Tripod is present - except for spiked feet.
