ClaeysRaspberry Sanded Candy Drops ~ 2 Lbs ~ Old Fashioned Flavor

I took a picture,showing a 2# bag with "manufactured by Claeys" and the all important Product of USA. It's been a long time with inferior, expensive counterfeit candy, hope there here to stay.

Love the raspberry flavor and it’s hard to find!

Husband wanted the Raspberry flavor, but couldn't find it locally. He is thrilled with these!

For many years, I have loved Claey’s hard candy. Up until about two years ago, I had only been able to find a few flavors of Claey’s in the retail bags that you see in some stores. While on vacation in Arkansas, my wife and I discovered a 2 pound pack of raspberry (among all the other Claey’s hard candy flavors). That sealed the deal for me. It was a tremendous value at a little country store in Mountain View Arkansas that we’re unlikely to visit again (it’s a big country, and we have a lot of it to see yet), and I feasted regularly on the raspberry flavor, one every day or so at a time. It’s exceptional!Just like the rich, robust flavor of their root beer, the raspberry is rich,, robust, and pleasingly tart! I’ve loved other flavors of theirs, but the raspberry is really something special.Being able to get two pounds at a time was a wonderful surprise, and it’s well worth having. One selfish bonus for me is that most folks have a sweet tooth, so the sweet flavors are enjoyed by all; while I seem to be the odd man out with my preference for tart candies. That means that I usually have the raspberry Claey’s all for myself.I just got my two pound bag of raspberry, having been out about 2-3 weeks now. Maybe I should go ahead and get a two pound bag of root beer while it’s on my mind.It’s a great candy at a great price - a genuinely good value!

Pretty much an impulse purchase after buying some natural raspberries at the store. The pack just arrived about an hour ago. It's basically a medium sized single baggie filled with the candy.I've had 3-4 so far and they're pretty good. But when they say a "dusting" of sugar, that's exactly what it is. It's a very fine sugar dusting with a consistency of what you'd expect as if the candies had a dusting of super fine flour.Still very good and will probably kill off the bag before the week is out but given the word "sanded" I was sort of expecting a sugar dusting that was a bit more course.Overall, good product and would be most likely be a good buy for other people. But for me, I'd probably try to order something with a slightly heavier dusting of sugar, something with a slightly more granular presence.

I purchased these in error thinking they were soft. Even though these are hard candy, the raspberry flavor I was looking for is great so I kept them. Probably like most unwrapped hard candy they stick together when I placed in my non-sealed candy dish. Even so, I'm very happy with this purchase. Be aware: the quantity is quite large!

I only got the sack! There was nothing inside the sack! There was suppose to be the 2pound sack of candy! So no, my order was not delivered!

I am not happy with the raspberry. They taste kind of old or have this different flavor. I'm sticking with the wild cherry and lemon cuz I love those. I wish I could just stuck with those two flavors. I really wish I could send them back. Play taste like whatever they were stored in. I don't know how to explain it but it's just not all raspberry. So yeah these are in the trash. The wild cherry in the lemon as I said are very good. I live on disability so these are a treat when I can get them so it's going to be awhile before I can get the ones I like.
