Works great for bicycle light but has great uses inside the house as well
A free sample of this light was provided for test and review purposes. When I initially accepted this light, my thought was to use it on my bike. It works great for that purpose but though many months of the year, I don't go out riding before the sun rises or after it sets. My husband saw the light and had some other ideas about how to use it during those months. One of the ways my husband organizes and stores some of our stuff is by using those configurable chrome storage shelves that you can buy on Amazon or most big box warehouse stores. We keep it all in packed in a "storage" room in our house (i.e., an unused bedroom now that we are empty-nesters.) There is not a lot of light in the room and we sometimes struggle to see what is on the shelves or in the boxes. His idea was that we could use this bright light when we are looking through boxes instead of holding a flash light in one hand. This light easily attaches to the bars of a shelf and can be positioned at any height or position. I usually position the light on one shelf bar so that I can look into a box on a different shelving unit. Alternatively I place the light on a higher shelf and point it downward to look inside a specific box. This is especially useful for heavy boxes that I do not want to move off the shelf.I can also simply carry the light around with me. I simply put the battery in a pocket and hold the light to in my hand to help find the storage box I am looking for.The light is very bright and provides enough hands-free light that I do not need to carry a lamp or extra flashlight while digging through storage.

Metal construction and super bright. The battery pack is a bit bulky ...
I received the Banner Life CREE T6 LED headlight quickly from Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime is well worth the money if you order regularly from Amazon especially for the added free benefits of Amazon music and Amazon Video in addition to the free 2-Day Prime shipping. The Banner Life CREE light comes in a long black cardboard box. Contents include, light, headstrap, wall plug charger, rechargeable battery back in a nylon bag and to rubber straps to affix light to bike handlebars.First impressions...this is a well built light. Metal construction and super bright. The battery pack is a bit bulky but not unexpected for the power needed to fuel this light. I have a front handle bar pack so this battery pack fits in there neatly and easily. The LED light attached to the handlebar easily. The light has a built-in metal mount and it attaches to the handlebar in seconds with rubber straps. I was able to get it positioned almost center where I wanted it and the rubber straps held the light firmly in place. You get one extra rubber strap.Operation of the CREE light is simple - just one single button to turn it on and off as well as cycle through bright, little less bright and strobe. Light is supposed to be water proof, which I have not tested yet. The light connects to the battery pack via a cable. The battery pack obviously would not be. However, if you place it in a front bag it will be fine. Cable was plenty long enough to mount and run to battery pack. One thing I did not like is that I had to unplug the light from the battery pack when not in use. The light has a big green light on the back which lights up when connected. The only way to fully turn off power to the light is by disconnecting the cable from the light to the battery back.Did not use the head strap but it looks to be well constructed. It light mounts on it easily although I am not sure where you put the battery pack when it is connected. I don't have a use for it currently.Charging took several hours with the included wall charger and though not quick, I don't expect to have to charge this light very often since it does run a charge for a good amount of time. So far I have run it for several hours on one charge. I run it during the day and at night to stay visible. One thing I did not like is that I had no idea if the battery pack was totally charged. There is no type of indicator on the pack to let you know the charging status.I highly recommend this battery pack. You will not be disappointed. I received this product for a slight discount for my honest review and feedback with is unbiased.PROS:--Good value for the price--Rechargeable Battery Pack (takes a while to charge but lasts many hours)--Good packaging and accessories (head strap, extra rubber strap)--One button for all functions (which lights green when connected to battery pack)--Super bright LED lights (enhances visibility greatly)--Metal construction (solid, durable but not too heavy)--Waterproof (light only)--Quick and easy installation on bike with built-in mount and rubber strap.CONS:--Charging time (long 6-8 hours)--Battery pack a little bulky--Don't know exactly when and if battery pack is completely charged - no indicator--Have to disconnect battery pack cable from light after use (not difficult, just a bit inconvenient)**UPDATE 2/26/2016:The light still performs well and is super bright. However, I am disappointed by the battery life. I am only getting 2 hours max if that on medium and charging is super long because it is only a 1-amp charger. Still a good price for the light but may not be the best choice for someone who needs long on-time and fast battery charging.**UPDATE 3/7/216:Finally got around to using it for a headlamp. Had to repair my car in the dark and this light came in handy. It was actually pretty great so I am adding back on a star. Super bright and I was able to see my engine and work in it with no problems. Wasn't the most comfortable think on my head but it was adequate especially for the amount of light it put out.

Useful Beyond the Bike
If you want a huge, powerful light on your bike: this is the way to go. The light is incredibly bright and the strobe mode is positively blinding. No motorist could possibly miss you if you were running with this bike light. The main tradeoff with this light is weight: you get a lot, including the ability to recharge it, but you'll be carrying much more weight than with a little marker light. If you truly want to see and be seen, the weight might not matter. But if you want to travel light, this light is not the right choice. As you can see in my video, this light actually can be used in non-bike applications. I have been keeping mine on my tripod for nighttime filming, and it's been excellent and very bright. Of course, a diffuser might improve the light quality for film work, but I haven't had trouble with the light as a camera light. I could see using this on my kayak for night paddles, for instance, or many other uses beyond the bike.Tons of power in this light, which is really amazing.I was provided a free sample in exchange for my honest review.
