If you want to learn about gold or metallic embroidery this is the first book and perhaps the only book you will ever need. The descriptions of the various techniques are very clearly illustrated. The book is worth every penny.

Fabulous book. Highly recommended for those who need a book to give you great advice and tips to get started in gold work. An invaluable asset for those needing a refresher course and haven't stitched with gold or silver threads in quite some time.

As with all "inspirations" articles,embroidery books, and projects, this book is done beautifully and very useful from beginner to the advanced stitcher. Highly recommend it.

Very informative book and lots of inspiration in the projects.

I preordered this book on spec as the RSN book from Serarch Press on Goldwork was so good. I'm am really pleased with this comprehensive guide to goldwork and also how to add silk embroidery to enhance your work.The one thing that really helps me, as I'm new to the craft, is that there is a clear set of photos showing each thread and it's name so finally I know what things are called so I can order the right thread from my suppliers. Goldwork threads are not cheap and ordering the wrong type or size can be a costly mistake.Each stitch or technique is clearly shown and variants are shown too. Ever wondered how to pronounce key terms like a goldwork professional.? No problem, they are shown phonetically so you can use the terms correctly and other will know what you mean.simple. You need this book.
