Economic, but not great.
"They sure don't make them like they used to." I wish Sony would maintain the product quality of their StreetStyle Headphones as their products were over 10 years ago.The sound production for this product is mediocre. It has a very spacey and acoustic sound, but pretty much no bass at all. In a word, it sounds a bit cheap. Which leads me to the next comment:The product itself does seem cheaply made, not just for its speakers, but for its construction in general. My biggest disappointment is that the neckband is plastic. It's molded in a "V" curve, and is slightly bendable inward. But otherwise, the plastic is hard and brittle, not the usual bendable "rubber" plastic in other older models.I'm afraid that if I lie down on the couch or bed, I'd break the neckband easily because it's so stiff and brittle, and doesn't bend outward. Clearly, the "V" point IS the BREAKING POINT of the band. You don't need to be an engineer to figure that out. Basically, the neckband is a chicken wishbone.

Not worth it
I bought these because I was looking for something I could use while jogging. These are not good for jogging. They get really uncomfortable to wear after about 30 minutes. Also the cord is way too long. I had to loop it several times so that it wasn't hanging ridiculously low. I thought perhaps if I used them when I wasn't jogging that they wouldn't be so uncomfortable. But I find that even when I am just sitting on the sofa with these on that my ears get tired from the weight within about 30 minutes. They sound ok (decent amount of bass), but since I can only wear them for about 30 minutes before they get uncomfortable, I don't find them worth owning. The Sony MDR-J10 h.ear Headphones with Non-Slip Design (Black) are way better for jogging and cost half the price. For inexpensive general use I'll stick with my V-MODA Bass Freq Earbuds - Bling Bling Black .

Is the fit for humans?
I bought this to replace the sports one that went up in price the sound quality is great for the price but the fit is horrible. You can't see it but this has a wishbone type of curve to the part that fits near your head, it's uncomfortable and slips down. It takes a lot of getting use to would not recommend it since I wear it a lot to listen to videos, and music online.

Good sound...but...
I got these to use while walking for fitness. They have exceptional sound, but the ear foam is none too sturdy. The construction is not much better and these lasted about 4 months before breakage occurred. While they worked, they worked well. I would recommend something that is not this delicate.

Updated- these are solid
The sound is very thin. I am not a fan of booming bass, but these sound very thin and wimpy compared to my Sennheiser PX100 headphones which I use at work. Not recommended.Updated 3 years later. How many cheap headphones last over 3 years? I have been using these for running several times a week for over 3 years and they are still going strong. My complaint about the sound quality still holds, but they seem to work well when out running. I just replaced the pads and plan to continue using them until they break. Also, a tip you may find useful: I wrap the cord around the headband, and then clip my small mp3 player right to the headband. This way there is no cord flapping around while I run. It is a very simple but elegant solution approach to providing music on the move.

Very comfortable, sound quite decent
I just received these headphones a couple of days ago, and based on some of the more negative reviews I wanted to see how comfortable they are for a whole day before commenting.Well, I guess I can say that I can get used to these no problem. There is a slight discomfort after a day (I use them at work at my desk, typical cubicle nation usage), but I had the same with my MDR-Q33's (clip around the ear) for the first couple of days as well. A couple of weeks into using them every day I couldn't even tell anymore that I had them on. I loved my old Q33's and would have bought another pair if I could still find them anywhere. The old Q33's have a metal jacket around the earphone wires, and my right ear is getting shocked every so often now from a short when plugged in. The newer Sony versions of this style have much thinner pieces going behind the ear now, so I decided to give the street style a try.The sound - I have to say that they sound great for me. I compared them to the old Q33, and these sound defintely more crisp (highs) and defined (base). I can see though that for other folks there might be an issue sound-wise depending on ear size and head size (I have a relatively small head and very small ears) and how close you get the actual speakers to your ears. The bars are resting on top of my ears, with the connecting piece just hanging in mid air behind my head, which seems fine. All in all I am very happy with this purchase and would defintely recommend anybody to try them out.

alien gear
I only used the headset twice, they are not what I expected in comfort/wear. If Icould return them I would. I look like an alien from outer space. The headset isuncomfortable to wear and the neck piece kept falling down. I guess it is true youpay for what you get. [email protected]

It is fine.. not great..
After using Creative HQ 140 for 4 years before it finally broke,I bought this headphone. I have to say I am not much impressed with this. The style is fine, but it is not comfortable around the neck. I would definitely recommend Creative HQ 140 than this one.
