Currently the best of the A19 LED bulbs
If you're looking for a 5000k LED, this is probably the one for you. I'm something of an LED bulb accumulator & have handled most of the major brand bulbs & a lot of the no-names. Unless I need something for a sealed enclosure or a 75 or 100w equivalent, this is my go-to bulb for an A19. It just does too well in too many areas. For starters, it produces over 100 lumens per watt. You generally see anywhere from 8.5 to11 watts in an 800 lumen A19 LED. The Uluxus draws 7. Only the $25 Nanoleaf Gem does as well, & this is it's chief claim to fame (that & a really cool shape). In addition to being extremely efficient, it has a ridiculously low operating temperature. Usually around 95 degrees or so if I remember correctly (watch Lightinganswers's Uluxus review on Youtube to double check me on this & watch him try to break these by chucking them onto a concrete floor). This is a good indicator of how long this kind of bulb may last. The color is comparable to other 5000k bulbs I've used. These were bought for my girlfriend's bathroom after an earlier set edged out a couple of Philips SlimStyles my mother had long favored in her bathroom. She seemed to think they were a bit brighter & liked the classic frosted incandescent look. I didn't have an opportunity to test their dimmability, but they're dimmable, if that's important to you.So basically, out of the dozens of LED bulbs I've bought or installed in the last several years, these are my favorites so far. No others run as cool or are as durable. One or maybe two others equal it in efficiency, but lack it's other strong points. And it's got the old frosted incandescent look going for it. There are a couple of the filament style LEDs out now with this same look (& excellent efficiency as well), but they have a glass body & in my experience are the least durable of the LED bulbs. Hope this review was helpful.

Unusually wide area of illumination for an LED bulb
I personally prefer warmer bulbs, but for a 5000K LED, this bulb has one major advantage over any other A19 style bulb I have yet found: it radiates light all the way down to near its base, whereas most LED bulbs of this style cover the lower part of their bulb shape with opaque plastic--presumably to hide their power supplies. When used in any translucent fixture that shows light from the entire bulb, most LED bulbs therefore shed a severely truncated lighting pattern from only the top of the bulb. This one, in contrast, sheds even illumination from its entire shape, just like the incandescent bulbs for which such fixtures were originally designed. See photo posted by previous reviewer.

These are amazing bulbs. Cool (both physically and literally) and safe to touch. I purchased the 'Daylight' option. The product describes it as bright, natural noon daylight. It does emit beautiful white lights and brighten up my 10'x10' space adequately. The lightbulb itself is a lot more beautiful compared to my other CFL lightbulbs I have on hands.Excited to see how many years I can keep these bulbs. I don't have to worry about throwing away broken, dead light bulbs into the trash and adding to the landfill.

This bulb flickered when I put it in and I could not turn the light off without just taking it out of the socket. I tried contacting the seller and never got a response. The box (green one shown in pic) was weathered as if this thing had probably been returned before. This was money wasted! I went to home depot and bought a whole box of the same type for the same price. I wanted to make sure that I got bright bulbs and unfortunately this time it was better just to make a trip to the store!
