I have several cats, and several cat trees/condos, but my cats always seem to fight over the tree/condo that another one is using. I wanted to purchase an additional tree/condo to provide another place for a few of them to sit, hoping to curb the territorial behavior. However, I recently moved into an apartment with much less square footage than my last place, so I needed a cat tree/condo that would fit the space and not be a source of clutter. This hangin' cat condo seemed perfect. It is.It easily attaches to the front (or back) of any standard door, and is very easy to assemble. (Two side pieces need to be inserted, and the entire condo unfolds. The straps are attached to the hooks. Put the side pieces in, hang it up, secure the straps, and you're done.)Not all of my cats like it, (there is always one that is the oddball out) but that's okay, because most of them do, and it definitely has solved half of the problem of territorial fighting over their furniture. My cats like to climb up the sides and sit on top of it in addition to climbing through the cubby holes. They also like to jump up onto it, clinging to the sides while they decide which cubby hole to sit in. While my girls are petite, weighing less than 7lbs each, two of my boys weigh 14lbs, and this cat condo is strong enough to support their weight, consistently. I have had four cats on and in it, at once, and it holds them all.I waited to post a review because I was concerned about durability, but this product is very well constructed.I am very satisfied with my purchase and I would definitely purchase this again.

*price has gone up considerably since I purchased not sure I'd pay 90 for it as I can purchase a standing tree* that being said...This cat "tree" was easy to set up. Just hang it up right out of the box. Fits on just about any door. And I don't think I got it fully hung or attached before the cats had climbed up into it. I've got 5 of em, 4 of the 5 approve. The 5th hasn't been brave enough yet haha. But I'm sure she'll get there. My 5 come I'm all shapes and sizes. And each are able to climb in no problem and make their way up and down. IF the price dropped again, I'd definitely repurchase. If you don't have space for a regular tree then I'd say go ahead at this price. Cats happiness is worth it in the end.

Great product made from quality material. It was very easy to assemble and took a couple of minutes. It feels sturdy against my door I just put a door wedge so it wouldn't sway but the actual cat motel is pretty solid if you tighten it. The best part about it is my kitten loved it fron day one and now has a place to climb up and feel like a king without the whole thing taking up too much room considering how big cat trees can be.

I was looking for a cat tree and came across this item and thought "that might work." And it does. It went up in seconds and a minute later my cat was in it. He loves sleeping in the top section or just sitting in it and looking out at me working at my desk and the window beyond. It seems very sturdy and well-made. And it doesn't take up floor room and will be easy to move.

Your cats will most likely explore it a lot at first as it'll be new and anything new is better than old stuff in a cat's mind! But where you place it will make all the difference. They want to see and watch what's going on, or have a hidey-hole to sleep in. When I placed it on a door that was out-of-sight of the main house activity, none of my cats took to it. I moved it several times and finally found a spot where one of my cats now sleeps in it every night. I especially love that the door is still functional with this installed on it, it hangs just out of the way of opening and closing it.

Suitable for smaller cats around 10 pounds, larger cats just won't be able to fit into it.I have two kittens that love this thing and try to ambush me from it every time I walk past. Fortunately even with all their rambunctiousness they don't even manage to make the door bang very much.

I live in an apartment with 2 very large Tom cats (19 and 25 pound boys!). This tree is great for small spaces and it’s very robust. My boys will climb through it at the same time and it doesn’t move. The mesh panels are great. There are lots of hole openings for access (for the cats and for me to give pets). Highly recommend this tree!

Ordered this to give our 2 apartment indoor cats a bit more vertical space to play and exercise. Was very easy to install, and feels sturdy.Happily accommodates both cats (10 pounds each) and they love running up and down the internal compartments. They also like to relax/sleep inside, and this is very comfy for them as the gaps connecting the compartments internally are along the edge - leaving plenty of space to spread out without falling through.Did not remove a star for this, but I did notice that both cats hooked their claws into the mesh a couple of times and had a bit of trouble untangling their paw. This seemed to only happen when it was new to them, so hopefully all it took was a bit of learning on their part. I'd recommend supervising when your cat/s first get into it to make sure they don't get stuck.

Ordered June 6, won't be getting here til AugustI got one and it had missing parts and so I sent it back, I am very frustrated.Update: I got it earlier then expected and it is so easy to set up and the cats love it!

This is a really cool idea, however it was too high off the ground and I couldn’t get my cat to climb up. Would be great for younger cats or kittens.
