Ara's Knights: Ara Parseghian and the Golden Era of Notre Dame Football

I was there during Frank's time at ND. The book brought back many positive memories as well as reminding me of things that I forgot. I will never forget the 1973 Sugar Bowl.Ara was the greatest coach because he was the best teacher, leader, and person. Thank you to Frank for sharing his story and experience of being one of Ara's Knights in ND's Camelot!

I have read everything ever written about the Era of Ara at Notre Dame. This ranks with the best. Insightful, and inspirational, whether you love or hate Notre Dame. Frank Pomarico's personal journey to Notre Dame, and what he did to take advantage of his opportunity when he arrived on campus, reflect the true spirit of the university and all those who played football for the Irish.

Frank's book brings back fond memories of the four football seasons I spent at Notre Dame. Hearing his stories and memories as a player and captain provide a back story for my recollections as a student, his classmate in the class of '74, of a wonderful time.

A bit of a slow start but a very fun read especially for those on campus in the late '60's and early '70's. And leaves no doubt that Frank and the rest of the guys had, and will always have, tremendous respect, admiration and love for ARA.

As a Notre Dame fan I really enjoyed the perspective Mr. Pomarico provides of his time in South Bend. This book is more than just about Notre Dame football. It really is full of life lessons and I would encourage anyone who enjoys studying how others achieve success to read this. The motivational ideas inside the book can be applied to all areas of life.

This book does a nice job in detailing the salad days of the Parseghian era. Good things tend to happen to good people, and this book details what a high character person Ara was. I hope ND can find another Ara someday.

Good book that brought back memories for my husband who played on the 73 Notre Dame Championship team. It was a nice surprise to see a picture in the book of my husband. Easy and enjoyable read.
