Great to have a classic on CD
Had this as a vinyl record with a somewhat scratchy version of Summer Rain, one of the best tracks on the album. When CDs came along, tried to get it but was always told it was unavailable, never released on CD. The years went by and all hope had vanished until now. How brilliant to see this was at last available and some attention had been paid to an album of raw brilliance, offering a mix of upbeat rhythm, ballads and bluesy rock, with a high standard of musicianship throughout. The sound on the CD is superb - crystal clear and affording the highest homage to a bunch of musicians at their best. Saxophone, drums, keyboards, harmonizing vocals - it's all there. As the title of the album indicates, these guys, Climax Blues Band, were for Real on this album and they delivered. It's a pity there are only eight songs and total playing time is under 40 minutes but that's enough time to be in heaven before staying above the clouds by hitting the repeat button. This music is more than 30 years old, yet it's still magic. That's the sign of a bunch of true musicians who brought their talent to the fore. This is a CD to enjoy over and over. Give it an extended run in the car, in the sound system indoors. It's manna for the ears and a lasting legacy to one of rock/blues's unsung bands.Introduce yourself to Climax Blues Band with this CD.Thanks to Amazon for prompt posting and the CD is well presented, with a booklet and notes highlighting the album, its songs and the band. Five stars without hesitation.

Great Music Finally Released And Nicely Remastered
Just got in 4 out of the 5 never released CBB albums that were just done by Repertiore and the first one I put on was Real To Reel my favorite of the bunch and I must say Repertiore did a great job on this reissue...the sound quality is excellent ...crisp and clear highs...not the muffled made from vinyl sound...and the music always was GREAT!!!!!!!If you liked this when it was only available on vinyl...what are you waiting for...get these reissues before they disappear.

We're the Children of the Nightime
A great late 70's album by CBB. It's one of those rare recordings in that all the songs are good. No fluff or fillers. They don't make music like this any more. I would reckomend this to anyone. I don't know how the "crap" that's on theradio today passes for music. Hey- I'm a child of the 70's and 80's.

memory lane from my teens
I saw this band in concert in Lenox, MA in the 70's. This particular album is OK but not the one I remembered as being great. Still, a very good rock/blues album
