Koi Feeder, Green Finish

First off this item does not come with a battery charger for the 6v battery included. I contacted the manufacturer and they tell you need to buy a charger or buy their solar panel? I paid $200 for a unit and it doesn't come with even a wall charger? Also this item feeds out of the bottom, instead of out of the side so therefor you must figure out how to suspend it over the water. It is very hard to do unless you have an over hanging tree. There are better and less expensive options available.

Love my auto feeder, my Koi have grown more this last summer than ever before, I have it set to go off 5 times throughout the day, 3 1/2 hours between feedings, it gives me peace of mind knowing they are getting fed while I am away. It is super simple to set up and is very well constructed.

It works, but it doesn't have enough capacity for my needs.

I bought the feeder for my front yard pond and i love the feeder...I bought a second one for the backyard pond....great product.

This feeder works very well and has a lot of different settings for feeding my Koi.

This is a well constructed feeding device - it looks like it is going to last for years. I have the upgraded timer which was straightforward to program. The solar charger came assembled for me along with the counterweight. I also received great customer service from Sweeney who helped with the shipping (Thank you)A point to bear in mind - this device is quite large and heavy - suspending over the pond is not to be underestimated. Perhaps the manufacturer could make some recommendations on this or even offer a kit of some kind to mount / hand the device - certainly not a criticism just would make implementation and setup even easier.

Simply outstanding. Exactly what I hoped for. Easy to program. Bought this along with the solar powered option. Good combo. Highly recommend.

I have had this feeder for three years. When it is working, it does a great job. However, in the location that I must use (party shaded during the day) the solar charger does an inadequate job of charging the battery so I usually buy at least one a year. The battery store will honor one warranty a year, or I would end up buying two. Also, because the feed dispenses from the bottom, and the feeder is mounted over water (as some readers have noted, NOT an easy task), there can be splashing up from the pond surface during a hard rain, when may cause the food nearest to the exit to dissolve into an indispensable mass. It also not easy to load it with food, because the rack that holds the timer obstructs the hopper opening. Seems like there could have been better location, maybe on the outside of the feeder so the feeder does not have to be taken down from its mount, opened and the timer fished out, as is the case now.I have resigned myself to its idiosyncrasies because I have a lot of $ invested, but I do see room for improvement, especially at this price point.
