Lumberjanes Set: Vol 1 - Vol 12

THESE ARE AMAZING BOOKS

Bought this series for my 8 year old and he’s grown with the girls through their adventures over the last two years. I love that these comics include lots of different story lines, and types of people, and I love that they encourage acceptance and adventure. They’re also hilarious.

My 14 (@ the time) year old daughter wanted these books after reading a couple when she was in middle school, so her grandmother bought her the set for Christmas last year. My daughter read a couple more and now feels bad that her grandmother spent so much on the collection because she no longer wants to finish them. She came to discover that these are liberal leaning books. She said there is a character that prefers the pronouns they/them, there is a good amount of LGBTQ themes in it, and that puts her off. She's a child that gets a long with everyone no matter what, but she's at the point that she's tired of it being shoved in her face constantly. While I haven't read them I can tell you that they will not be passed on to my younger daughter who is 11, if my older daughter doesn't even feel comfortable finishing them. My now 15 year old is at the point that she's tired of all of the political propaganda being shoved down everyone's throats. The liberalism of the collection has turned her off of this series. There should be more of a discription of the books and what is available on this page.

I bought our little reader Book One to see if she would enjoy reading the series. At first she seemed uninterested, in fact put it down without finishing - but then several days later she came to me and said, "Can you get me more of LumberJane books"?I immediately ordered Volumes One and Two (20 books in all). In this day of technology - it is wonderful to have a reader of "books."She loves the series.
