Add a 3.5mm audio input into your factory car stereo. This adapter is an auxilary audio input adapter that will let your Zune, iPod, MP3 Player or any device that has a 3.5mm audio output be played through the factory stereo system. All controls will have to be done on the device you are connecting. CD quality sound- static free clear audio sound. Connection is done at the back of the radio and one wire ground wire connection. Anything connected to the cd changer connection has to be disconnected including external cd changer. Error and bad sound quality
Just installed this on a stock Monsoon in a WV Jetta 2002. I get a "CD ERR" message, followed by a bip, every 30 sec ish. The sound quality is also WAY worse than for instance the radio or a tape-to-aux.

Works great!
Installed this on a Mk4 VW GTI with a single-din radio in about 10 minutes. Make sure you have the correct radio removal keys. Instructions are included but you simply remove the radio, replace the CD-in plug with the adapter, ground the adapter to the back of the radio, tuck the adapter behind the radio/HVAC and run the 3.5mm plug to wherever you want.The adapter also comes with an extension with a 90-degree connector as pictured. This is a great touch as the 90-degree connector works much better in a car!
