I'm writing this review to people who maybe have never tried a Clif bar and want some information before purchasing.The ingredients say organic brown rice syrup, organic soy flour, organic rolled and toasted oats, organic cane syrup, organic peanut butter, and more. I have to trust that they're not lying, so I believe I am eating a fairly healthy version of an energy bar.There are 240 calories (60 from fat) per bar.0 cholesterol40g carbs240 mg sodium and 230 mg potassium2 g insoluble fiber21 g sugarsThere are many vitamins as well.Many "health" bars I've tried are typically dry, chalky, and that probably has something to do with high protein maybe? I guess it depends on which one you're trying. I've tried a lot.Clif bars taste better than they look. They are moist and chewy, not tough chewy. While in the package, you can squeeze, bend, and mold them. They're a tad sticky to the touch.I sometimes eat a Clif bar just as a snack. We're all told to have 6 small meals/snacks throughout the day to keep our metabolism up. So a Clif bar sometimes acts as one of those snacks for me.Typically I eat a clif bar about 15 minutes before working out (weights, run, cycle). They give me energy and keep me from getting hungry. If I plan on going on a long ride (over 2 hours), I'll sometimes take a clif bar with me.While the 240 calories does seem high, I burn at least 5 times that during workouts and on long bike rides, I know I can burn well over 2,000 calories, so I carry a 2nd Clif bar in case I hit a wall. Typically though, I don't need a 2nd one.As far as the peanut butter flavored bars? These are my favorite Clif bars.The only problem I had with this particular order was that a few bars were not sealed. I did not want to lower the rating because the 5 stars is for my opinion of Clif Bars altogether, not just this transaction. I do not eat a clif bar a day and I have multiple flavors stocked at home, so more than a month had passed when I got to the opened bars. They were stale/hard, and barely edible to me, so I fed them to a squirrel... he loved them. I didn't bother asking Amazon for a refund/replacement because it had been too long and I didn't care.But if you receive some opened packages as well, it might want to be brought to Amazon's attention so they can check their stock.Feel free to reply if you have any questions or comments.

Awesome bars. Chewy and delicious. They are a quick awesome breakfast or an I'm starving in traffic in the glove box quick life saver!! They don't melt but they do freeze If you leave them in the car. I think this and the toffee Buzz are the best. The Buzz one has a slight kick of caffeine. I don't drink tea or coffee in the morning, so that one is good for a slow-go morning and tastes great. The Crunchy peanut butter has small peanuts in it. Otherwise it's pretty smooth and uncrunchy. It's not chock full of peanuts If that's what you are looking for. Still, all around the best tasting bar and a great price. I also get auto delivery on these. You save money, they deliver every so many months, your choice to pick, and they email you a reminder that it's coming and offer an opportunity to cancel if you aren't ready for that shipment. I really like these bars and auto ship.

I have eaten these for so many years now, it's not even funny. In a peanut shell (haha), it's one of the greatest snacks ever invented, right up there with Crackerjack and Snickers bars...only of course this is much healthier and lower in fat. I understand why there are about 1,000 reviews of this product and like 90% of them are 5 stars. While Clifs are mostly known in the sports/outdoors arena, they're very multi-purpose. They're good for any occasion when you're hungry and you can't have a meal right then and there. On a personal note, I remember the days right before these came onto the market in the early 90s. Powerbars were the only similar bar available, along with some GROTESQUE-tasting knockoffs. Powerbars were enough to break all your front teeth. Then Clifs came along and took the world by storm...finally, here was something that actually tasted good. I think in the early years the taste wasn't quite as good but hey, all it takes is a few more dashes of salt or sugar or whatever they use in their recipe, and voila. I've yet to find any other similar protein bars that are even one-tenth as good.

Extremely tasty, with a consistency close to cookie dough (soft, but in bar form), with lots of peanuts. At 240 calories, I'll have one for breakfast, or they also work for a quick/light dinner. I noticed a few other the other reviews has issues with an expiration date (IE what they received was closed to being expired). I purchased these in Aug 2012, and they're stamped June of 2013. And I can assure you they'll be gone long before then!edit: 9/3: Ok, one small gripe. When I purchased these last month, my total was $22.32. As of 9/3, they're $27.98! I understand amazon's fluctuating pricing when it comes to books, games, movies, etc, but I would never shop at a grocery store that plays price roulette every few days. If amazon is serious about selling food items, they need to focus on an overall lower price, and not have as much fluctuation. A 20% price hike seems a little stiff.

This flavour has the perfect balance of flavour and texture. The peanut butter taste is a perfect combination of slightly sweet and salty for me. I throw one in my handbag for breakfast at work as I don't often have the time to make anything, and the bar keeps me energised until lunch time.I live outside of the USA and I was very impressed with how quick I received the parcel, 3 days before the expected delivery date and I had no problems with customs. The parcel arrived intact and the bars have sufficient time before expiry to be eaten, expiry reads August 2015. These bars are pricey for me but the taste and quality of the product as well as the amazing service from Amazon make the price absolutely worth it. I'll be ordering again asap.
