Had high hopes for these outdoor lights. Really liked the size and the fact they would sit close to the ground. Received 2 boxes of 2 in each with no instructions in the box or on the outside. Found that odd but then figured it can't be too hard so no big deal. Put the plastic stake pieces together and noticed a push button on the underside of each. With no instructions nor lettering near the button I had to look back to the description on Amazon to see that it was a dimmer switch. After 2 days in direct sun, that shines across the front of our house all day, I reached out to the seller Exlight to find out why none of the 4 came on. I received a copy of the instructions to the lights however, there was nothing there indicating why. I did notice on Amazon it says allow 8 hours and on the instructions sent it says allow 2 full days of sun. Also on the instructions sent it says there is a slide dimmer button on the underside however, mine was a push. Doesn't tell you when you push it if you are making it brighter or dimmer. Kind of odd! Needless to say after 3 days in full all day sun not one of the 4 ever worked. I should have gone with my gut initially and just run to the local store and picked up the ones there for a couple bucks each. Obviously these are being returned and I will go pick up the cheap ones locally. Just thought these looked nice and I would splurge.

I bought total 3 orders (total 12 lights) . First order arrived great, so I ordered another 2 ( 8 lights). The 2nd batch totally not working, they blink at night time. I had my company engineer take a look, they told me nothing wrong, may be the battery (AAA) is dead. so last week I gave a shot of buy AAA rechargeable battery to replace them, seems like working well. I also found the output of lights is different color range as well... but since there is no description, so I don't know the exact color range. But at night time, some in yellowish, some in more white....

Overall, these are nice lights. They are nice and professional looking in plant and flower beds. They throw a warmer light, so that's a huge plus. They do tend to stay lit from dusk to dawn. The biggest drawback is the lack of illumination, even for solar lights. Do not expect more than an ambient or soft amount of light...these will not provide anything near a spotlight effect. That said, I did like them enough to reorder to add at least a "matching" landscape ambience to all of my ornamental grasses. I'll likely look for other options next season, and use these for more low lying flowers and plants. I do think they would work well for that purpose.

These are great lights for highlighting garden or landscaping elements. I have a small rock garden in my front yard flowerbed and these lights give off a nice, warm, subtle highlight to the rocks and flowers. They all charged quickly the first day I received them and began working the same evening, even though they only charged for four hours the first day. They feel sturdy and do not appear to accumulate any water inside the light itself, as we had a heavy storm come through on the second day and they seem to have held up well to the elements. I am pleased with these lights, but like I said before, they are great for highlighting or accenting landscape, or defining a boarder or path, but are a bit dim. This is to be expected however, since the purpose of these is not to be directional light, like a spot light. They also stay on all evening and charge well on cloudy days. For the price and performance, I definitely see myself buying more of these in the future.

Lights are a little brighter than I thought (which is a good thing) and they were not hard to place into the ground. Two complaints though, the stake they give you is a little flimsy and one of the bottom edges of the light had a sharp edge so I was very, very close to slicing my finger so just be careful! Otherwise, the light does well and looks better than most solar lights out there. I also want to mention that my lights are in full sunlight all day as I live in Arizona so it gets plenty of sunlight to charge.UPDATE 6/21/2016:I have now had four months of use out of the these lights and bought 8 of them. Five (5) of them have stopped working as of yesterday when I checked and that is only out of 4 months of use. No abuse to the lights, no stepping on them or anything they just stopped working. Very upset with that kind of quality and track record.

The lights are okay they seem a little bright on the first couple of days or so but after that they have been dimmer and after a few hours the light becomes kind of faint. The lights are not bright at all, but it's just enough to know where to follow a path. They do stay on all night though but a couple of them blink after a couple of hours of being on. Basically after a couple of days of a nice amount of brightness they are not as bright after that.

My original plan for these was to illuminate a tree in my backyard, I knew sunlight may be an issue, as it turns out it was. They don't get enough charge to light up at night. They will be on for 2 or 3 hours and when they drain their batteries they'll start flickering.Also, 1 of my lights came with a little piece of plastic inside, I had to take it apart to remove it which wasn't too bad.I'm going to try to move these to a location where there's more light to see how they will work.

These arrived yesterday in two small boxes with no directions whatsoever. I placed them in the yard yesterday but they didn't work last night; not sure what is wrong. Hopefully, after being in the sun all day today, they will work but I'm not sure. There is one button on the bottom but I can't tell what it does as I can see no change when I press it. Anyone have any ideas?
