100% Pure Irish New Wool Green Walking Cape by Jimmy Hourihan

This cape is stunning! The color is true to photos -- a dark green with a muted plaid facing -- and simply beautiful. The drape is lovely. The wool is substantial but soft (no itchy feel); it is quite warm. As others have noted, it will need a few hours of airing to be rid of the odd smell of being packaged in plastic, but it's fine after an airing overnight. I am 5'6" and the cape hits the back of my calf about 3" below my knee. The "sleeve" folds reach about 2" above my wrist, which is long enough to keep my arms warm but short enough to keep my hands free. The hood is large enough to protect your face from mist and the ends can be worn as a scarf or left hanging to show off the lovely facing plaid. The pockets are deep (and just slightly low for my height); they will securely hold your wallet, keys or cell phone and keep your hands warm. All practicalities are met but putting them aside, this is just a beautiful cloak! I am very pleased with it.

I thought this might be a little stiff and scratchy but it is very soft and warm. Not stiff at all. Very comfortable to wear.I like the way it's made because I have a little extra padding (that I plan to get rid of) and this cape will fluctuate nicely when I do.It is not a car coat by any means but very nice to wear , just like it says, "walking" in our woods. The wind does not cut through it. Long enough to keep my legs warm but not too long to drag the ground. I am 5'6" and it hits me about mid-calf or slightly lower.I love the design of the hood also. It totally covers my head and keeps the wind out of my face.Worth the price in my opinion. Well made.

If you are a tall person (I am 5'2) then this might look good on you. I can barely reach the pockets and the drape of the material is not flattering on me. It was hard to make the decision to return this coz it looked so good on the model in the picture but it just doesn't do it for me.

Eautidul wool and color, but as previous reviewers have said, it is “sizable”!

OMG this cape is so awesome. I really like it its very comfortable and soft and warm you couldnt ask for a better cape, and the colors are so beautiful. This is my first cape and i wouldnt buy a differnt one if someone paid me lol, Very happy customer here :-D

We were looking at a $1400 cloak in a fancy clothing store and decided to look on-the-line, and this Irish Walking Cape is a perfect cape for the cool NW weather 11 months of the year. Almost pretend to be in Ireland.

This walking cape is exactly what I've been looking for in a cape. It's amazingly soft , and warm. I love the hood/scarf . The pockets are deep which is great. This is definently one of my favorite pieces.

The cape is absolutely gorgeous! I receive complements on it everyday! People I don't even know come up to me and compliment me on the cape! I would definitely recommend it!
