Teddy Bear Doctor: A Let's Make & Play Book: Be a Vet & Fix the Boo-Boos of Your Favorite Stuffed Animals

This is a really sweet and fun activity book. I got it for my kids for Christmas. Things you might want to know ahead of time--1) It will work BEST if your child is already reading (because of the various pieces like "filling out exam cards") unless you're going to play with them.2) If you're getting it as a gift for your own children, you'll want to make sure you have some of the things you need to do the crafts right away, like pipe cleaners.3) I splurged and laminated several pages of the cut-out pieces, and I don't regret it. I think if you don't, they just aren't going to stand up to any extended play. I don't blame the book for that, but again warning (I had to put my children off on Christmas when they wanted to cut things out because I wanted to laminate first).Best part? My kids want to keep their room clean now because they have to tidy up their 'clinic'!

I am a teacher and I loved this book. I used it for a take home family fun literacy pack. Students could sign out a bag with pet themed books and activities. This book has a great range of ideas for children to be able to set up their own vet clinics at home. It includes cardboard shapes for making things such as name tags, nurse hats, animal bracelets, etc. There is so much here to help children set up and use their imagination. I do think that children are going to need help and direction with how to use this book. Hours and hours of independent play here! I loved that homemade items are used such as cardboard boxes. I am going to buy more copies of this book as presents.

My daughter is in love with this book. Our entire house has now turned into a vet clinic complete with signage! It makes my heart so happy to see how engaging this sweet book is for young readers.

We recently had to take our pet chinchilla in to the vet. The vet showed us this book while waiting for xrays. We ordered it and my daughter was able to "help" all her sick pets. It really helped her deal with our sweet chinchillas passing.

This is an amazing book. They have lots of stickers and cute pictures with kind instructions. My boy made his own vet shop following steps in the book and played all day long. Especially making stethoscope was really brilliant. It was so fun to watch all his stuffed animals taken good care of :) Highly recommended!!

Very fun! We bought this for our niece who loves to pretend that she's a doctor or veterinarian.

Great old fashion fun. All that is needed is a child’s imagination. A good antidote for technology.

My 5 years had hours of fun with this.
