Mastisol Liquid Adhesive

WARN your physicians not to use this product on your body to dress surgical and other wounds. Some people will have a nasty reaction and some people won't. You may want to read the online reviews submitted by patients on WebMD.com. Patients experienced a horrible reaction to this product as have I.. Surgical bandages were removed from my face and I developed a bright red rash that is very painful. According to my surgeon, the rash covers the same areas of the face where he applied Mastisol. The rash is very itchy and painful to the touch, with oozing blisters. It seems to last a very long time for some people. My surgeon was shocked to see the severity of the reaction during a post-op visit.I have not found any information from the FDA about the product, but I did find patient complaints about the rash submitted to the FDA. The ingredients in Mastisol should be tested by the FDA or by independent laboratories where the product can be tested, before being released for commercial use.

Deceptive pictures make you think you're getting more than just 1 lousy package of mastisol. Shame on me for being fooled once but don't let this guy fool you too!

Saved us a trip to Urgent Care for stitches!! Steri strips have stayed on for two weeks with using Mastisol as a base first!! This is a great product .Used in the OR where I used to work!!
