Mi dispiace mettere questa recensione, anche perchè apprezzo V&B avendo altri prodotti di questa marca (della serie "Lave" e "Crafted") ma questo piatto o, meglio, questa serie (la "Manufacture") -secondo me- non è funzionale per un utilizzo quotidiano e -personalmente- trovo abbia un grosso difetto.Il materiale -di base- è una terracotta, lavorata poi con una serie di procedure che creano l'effetto ardesia/pietroso e... questo è bello alla vista. Ed infatti è il motivo per cui ho voluto acquistare questo primo piatto di test.🥦 Ma i problemi cominciano quando usi il piatto per ciò che è... ossia, un piatto. Quindi quando provi a tagliare, magari anche con una certa forza il pezzo di carne sopra... ecco, il suono e il feeling che avvertirai è molto simile a quello dello stridolio di un pezzo duro su una lavagna (tipo quella della scuola! sensazione che, personalmente, reputo FASTIDIOSISSIMA).Per me, quindi, è stato bocciato dopo il PRIMO utilizzo e sono passato agli altri piatti della collezione che ho citato sù (che invece sono in classica ceramica e quindi, credo, anche più longevi... infatti ho trovato questo piatto anche più delicato, dal punto di vista della manegevolezza e sua pulizia).Per tutti questi motivi vi consiglio di fare un'attenta valutazione prima dell'acquisto. Not the purpose most buyers had in mind I'm sure but if you or someone in your family suffer from light sensitivity for any reason, it means years of sitting at a strange angle to your plate which doesn't make eating easy sometimes! This plate being a matte finish, reminds me of slate, it means that reflections are cut out completely so after years struggling a look at a gloss plate under normal household light while eating, I can finally eat in comfort. Just a heads up for those who need this important detail - the cutlery will feel different against the plate and will make different sounds, it's took a bit of getting used to but I can cope with this as the glare was the worst issue for me.

Arrived safely but packaging was odd. Plates inside a bubble wrap pocket and scrunched paper on top but nothing underneath the plates to protect them. Thank goodness the courier was careful as I don’t know how they made it here in one piece. Beautiful raised textured plate with an ultra matt finish. Looks great with light-coloured foods, pasta, salad, salmon etc. Would recommend.

I initially ordered one plate as they seemed a bit too expensive and I did not really know what to expect. I was very surprised when I received my first order to see such a beautiful, well made plate. It it a bit heavy, but it looks great. Any food looks delicious on this plate. I ordered another one to have a set. Definitely my go to company for all things kitchen.

Lovely quality with a superb matt glaze. They look sumptuous.
