It’s a brilliant comprehensive tome of South African Indian cookery . I’ve had a copy since I was in my 20’s 40 years ago and it’s got everything in it. I was gifted another edition when I returned to South Africa at the age of 30 and although it was expensive, it was never this expensive. I’m so glad I have my copies because I wouldn’t want to spend the kind of money that their asking for it now , unless of course it’s to support a charity ! Otherwise the price is outrageous !

brilliant....better than brilliant. my mum had the previous addition and she wouldn't give it to me! recipes are brilliant, homely and if you are indian like me, and experienced cook, the ingredients and method will be very easy to follow. I love them. all recipes are current, you wouldn't think these have been first written in the 70's. we also had the other zuleikha mayat book, but I find this to contain the best recipes and colour photos.
