Meh, not so impressive as a kitchen utensil. It worked on zucchini well, yet a good 2-inch piece was leftover. I suppose I could chop it or use it in another meal prep, but that's too much waste relative to the glowing raves over the life-changing properties of this gadget. I can grate, chop, slice, etc. with many other gadgets just ad well. Save your money for a good grater.

This makes great noodles out of zucchini, as long as the veggie is small enough to fit in the hole in either end. Store bought zucchini usually fits well, but our garden zucchini get big fast and we forget to pick it sometimes, so most of it won't fit in the slicer and I end up using a potato peeler. I tried to use it for carrots, like the picture, but they just cracked and fell apart because the center hole got clogged. Maybe I need fatter carrots.I like the simple, easy to clean design, and the veggie holder/top. I use that holder/top for slicing other items when I use a cheese grater. The top does not snap into place for storage so I put a rubber band around it and that seems to keep the parts together.The inside of this slicer is sharp and unprotected, and I've cut my fingers more than once using it and cleaning it, so it's not something for kids to use.

Half of the vegetable is wasted, since the end of the vegetable ca't be used. There's nothing to push the veggie into the slicer once the end is even with the end of the slicer.

Hard to hold onto when trying to slice things. If the vegetable is narrow, it is very difficult to turn in the slicer.
