Chilton Repair Manual Ford 1997-2003 Pickup, 1997-2017 Expedition/Navigator

These repair manuals are the best for mechanics. I just rebuild the motor on my 1998 F150 and the book really helped! The only negative is it doesn't cover the computer trouble codes but if you have code scanner (like I did) you are in the clear. All repair procedures are supported by detailed specifications, and plenty of photographs.Great tidbits and this manual will help give you everything you need to do the job minus the tools. Has best preventative maintenance chapter of any other manual I've seen.

Bad info regarding the vehicles this manual covers. When ordered and as pictured, this was supposed to cover our 2013 Ford Expedition and some. However, when the product arrived, it 'only' covered vehicles a few years short of what our vehicle's year is.Good manual for our other vehicle, so I kept it.First and last time I order one online. I'll just get one at a local auto parts store from here on out.

Manual is not as complete and detailed as my older "Motors Manuals". I'll keep it as a reference tool in my garage but am not thrilled with it.

While helpful I did not find the manual to be as detailed as manuals from the past(15-20 years ago)

It's a relative manual. If your familiar with these you know you generally need two depending on your repair but ive always started with Chilton.
