While the fit and finish are good, the tassle is sewn to the tam. While this isn't a problem in itself, the tassle is sewn directly opposite of the velcro closure, so, to wear the tam with the velcro in the back (as one would normally do) means the tassle hangs down between my eyes. This means I must turn the tam 30-45 degrees so the tassle hangs where it is supposed to hang and not be in my eyes. Of course, now the velcro is on the side of my head and shows the gap and takes away from the tam itself.

The graduation tam shipped as expected, however, I am not satisfied with the product. When worn, the adjustable portion of the tam sticks out, therefore giving it a tacky and unprofessional look.

Just as I imagined, except the loop on the top of the tassel was broken. A little hot glue will fix it.

It looks nice and is very comfortable.

I bought this Tam as part of part of the ending of one phase of my life and then beginning anew.Though my college loans for my BA, my M.A.Ed., and my Doctorate may seem like Six Million Dollars, I am no hero.But I have a Tam, and I am better than I was before.

I'm not a big fan of the Velcro (cheapens the look), but for the price, this is a great tam.

Excellent value for money. Very well made.

The tam appears to be well made and fits a largish 23.8" head, with about 0.3" overlap remaining on the Velcro adjustment tab. Unfortunately, the tab is located on the side of the head and the loose end protrudes noticeably and detracts from the appearance of an otherwise nice tam. However, a couple of stitches to tack the tab down fixed the problem and the headband now looks good. Proportionally, the 8-sided tam looks good on the largish head and was a much better fit than the equivalent 6-sided tam, which is significantly smaller and had to be returned. This 8-sided tam fits well, is very comfortable, and looks great with the rest of the regalia. This tam was a good solution for my husband's hard to fit head.
