So here's the irony. This is by far the best life vest my 8 year old son has had in 3 years. He's outgrown his other ones. This life vest more comfortable, better stitched, and most importantly my son loves it. HOWEVER, it's made in China, so it's not USCG approved. I will say that we spend quite some time in the water and on jetski's and this life vest is far better than his previous 2 which are USCG approved. These are my comments. I'll leave it to you parents to choose what is best for your child.

This is perfect for the boating family. It fit perfect- runs true to size. The color is bright and it did not fade with hour of sun and water. It dried fast- and was super comfortable.

Quality, good looking vest - grandson used it at the beach and had no complaints on comfort or weight.

The media could not be loaded. I love the emergency whistle, the bright colors, how sturdy this is, love the crotch straps and my son absolutely loves it as well. He says it’s very comfortable and the crotch straps will keep him from falling out if he ever freaks out in deep water and I showed him how to use the whistle incase of an emergency! I would definitely recommend buying this product!!!!

Bought this to use at the lake. Love that it zips and snaps along with the between the leg strap to keep kids safe. Comes with an emergency whistle as well. Only complaint is the zipper kept coming apart but it was still snapped for safety.

I was having a really hard time finding a vest for my 37 pound 4 year old. Most companies make their vests for up to 30 pounds, which is too small for my son, and then the next size is huge - way too big for his height/weight/size. This one it right in the middle, still on the larger side but that's okay with me because he'll be able to use it for a long time. Very well constructed and I'm confident that it will last. One thing to mention is that other vests I've used unclip between the legs to make it easier to get on and off. This one doesn't unclip so it is a little harder to get on and off because my son has to step into and out of it. No big deal for us and it does make the vest safer and more secure but wanted to mention because this is different than others we've owned. The quality makes up for that and it looks like a nicely designed, premium product. Recommend.

It fit perfect on my 7yr old. It does snug upward but the clip that goes in between his legs holds it down a little bit. I like the attached whistle but I wished the rope was a little shorter. It would detached for the vest and just float around and get caught on his arm. But now my son can swim with confidence and enjoy the pools.

National coast guard or whatever isn’t approved. Best for floating or last minute emergency saving. Toddler says it comfortable and got the opportunity to teach what the whistle meant.

Perfect size for my 31/2 yr old granddaughter, slightly smaller than the child size HH life jacket. Better support on the crotch strap which keeps jacket from riding up.

I bought it for my granddaughter. She loves it and felt very comfortable in the water.
