I used these to modify a propane heater that used screw type gas flare fittings. These quick connect fittings when disconnected prevent dust and moisture from entering your gas line and contaminating the small orifices in the regulator, gas valve, and pilot burner assembly. I had to purchase other adapters to make it work but, overall totally satisfied with these. High quality and what is described is exactly what I received and shipping was very quick.
