Brushed Nickel Shower Arm Extension, 16 Inch Extra Long Shower Head Pipe with Flange for Rainfall Shower Head, Universal, Stainless Steel

I was concerned about using a stainless steel shower arm because, depending on the metal formulation and manufacturing process, stainless steel is sometimes soft and easily bent. However, this one gave no trouble, even when extra force was needed to finish turning it to correctly position the spout. Considering its length, it also held a heavy 12 inch showerhead surprisingly well, without any sag at all.The threads on both ends are standard (for the U.S.) 1/2 inch, and matched up with the female threads with no trouble.The brushed nickel finish color matches brass based brushed nickel fixtures very well.The only problem I had with this item was with the decorative flange. It comes with a rubber grommet, I suppose to keep it from sliding on the horizontally mounted arm. It fits very tightly on the arm and will easily roll out of the flange if you are not careful. You might try using some liquid soap as a lubricant while positioning the flange, or you could just remove the grommet altogether and put a dab of caulk between the wall and flange to hold it in place.

It's not as sturdy and doesn't fit as flush as the original factory installed part which is not surprising. However to the naked eye it's hard to tell the difference.

This is a pretty decent shower arm and the finish is really good. At this price point it is the best value for money. Almost 30-40% less in price then other alternatives available in stores but with same quality. Comes nicely packed and installs easily. Only down side is the gasket in the flange. You cannot move flange much else the gasket will come off and you beed to undo the shower arm to fix the gasket. With that being said its a minor issue and can be avoided by keeping the flange close to the end before installing.

When my plumber opened the box to install today, he noticed the piece was damaged- it appears by a pipe wrench. Not a new part! VERY DISAPPOINTED!Said the window was too late to return.

This is perfect. I needed an extended shower head as I'm temporarily in a wheelchair. Assembly was easy, quality is good! Would recommend!
