This light is absolutely AMAZING !
This light is an amazing value. It is packed with features and the interface can be as simple or as advanced as you would like it to be. There are so many cool modes . I also love the lighted button. It makes it easy to locate in the dark. It goes from a VERY low to a Super bright 2800 lumens . Battery life seems good and about what I would expect from a high output light. The overall fit and finish of the EDC18 is very impressive. The anodizing is perfect and the machining is very well done. I am a gadget guy and have many lights (some that cost much more) but this one is my new favorite. Lumintop did a great job on this light. I would highly reccomended this light without hesitation. My neighbor will be ordering his soon. Don't forget to order a charger.

Best EDC flashlight 2020
This review will be from the point of view of someone who works in the medical field. There a plenty of enthusiast reviews out there with all the specifications and details so be sure to check those out for the nitty gritty details. Off the bat be warned!! Amazon at the time of this review has ONLY the cold (white/blue) LED version fo this light for sale so you’re out of luck if you’re looking to buy the warm Nicha version. I didn’t realize this and was a little surprised when I turn on the light.Presentation : 10/10The same presentation as their other lights with clean design and clear details of the light outside the box. Good job making the cold/warm designation easy to recognize for someone maybe looking this in a store. The usual instructions and manuals were included with a very helpful section on mode switching.Build Quality : 10/10The body is built of a solid piece of aluminum. Great material for heat regulation as well as strength to weight ratio. Nothing too much to say that hasn’t already been said. The knurling or pattern on the body of the light lends itself to great retention whether wearing nitrile gloves or work gloves. The light stays in my hand no matter if it’s wet or not. I’ve dropped it out of my pocket when moving patients or running through the wards and it’s still going strong after taking a true beating being in my coat pocket knocking into things. The coating does strip if you try an remove and insert the pocket clip so do be aware of that.Function/Light Quality: 9/10If you plan on using this light in any sort of medical application whether as an EMT or first responder I would highly recommend getting the warm Nichia version or SST20 version. The high CRI from those lights will lend itself better to working with people. The cold version of the light is still a great tint if you like a whiter light. The thing I love the most about this light is the ability of the light to diffuse the beam so evenly across such a large area. With other lights I’ve had using it within arms reach there is always a white hotspot in the middle that really distorts what you’re trying to look at. Great beam profile for lighting up an accident scene or up close examining wounds.Lumens - pretty much infinite customizability of lumen strength for whatever reasonable function you would need from this light. Great short cuts to very low lumens when using this light as a backup for eye exams.Value : 10/10A quality flashlight is something that everyone should own no matter what field of work you’re in. This is highly customizable to whatever function you need it to be. It’s rugged enough to sustain multiple waist level drops and banging into medical bed railings throughout the day. For the price if you can find it on sale (keeping checking back and follow their instagram) you won’t find a better light with the choice of three different high quality LEDS. Buy with confidence.

UPDATE: BUY THIS LIGHT, I WRONG ON FIRST REVIEW (original) Cannot get half the modes to work
Okay, it took some searching and a bit of practice to FINALLY get this thing to do what it was designed to do. Make sure the light you order has the Anduril User Interface - UI. It allows for a wide variety of useful customization that will make most other flashlights' UI a joke! The lite version user interface has something like 5 levels of brightness. The lite version, the one you do not want to order has an "L" in the name of the product - LUMINTOP EDC18L. Do not buy this one. It is $7-ish cheaper, but not worth the gutting of the lights functions. Anduril UI has infinite settings! It has a candle mode, lightning mode (great for Halloween), discreet step-u/down settings, tactical modes, lockout mode, muggle-mode (locks out most settings, used for newbies and children). This light is a bargain! I ordered a warm white and a cold white version. Warm white lets you see true color, cold white (neutral) appears brighter and is more tactical.Buy this and practice it.Here are some easier to follow instructions:h t tps://bazaar.launchpad.net/~toykeeper/flashlight-firmware/fsm/view/head:/ToyKeeper/spaghetti-monster/anduril/anduril-manual.txtPrint it out and practice until you get it right. You will love this light once you fibure it out!ALSO...One of the lights failed on me. It was under warranty. I contacted Lumintop, they wanted order # and then the sent me a brand new replacement light!!!Original Review:This torch is bright! It can hold the turbo brightness level for about 15 seconds, then it starts lowering the output gradually. You can step it back up, but you run the risk of damaging the light/circuitry.The instructions are minuscule in print size and I could not figure out what it is they were trying to get me to do to activate the various features.Strobe was useless and it would cycle through flashing modes. When set to a constant brightness setting, you can not change the setting with clicks, you had to unscrew the cap to stop the board from getting electricity. It would return to normal after loosening the cap.I looked up the instructions for this torch and found a larger copy of the manual on candlepower forum or budget light forum cannot remember. Still could not get it to do 50% of its stated functions.Returned it and do not recommend it IF you are expecting full functionality of features/modes listed.

An excellent flashlight.
This flashlight is awesome. It looks like a little light saber, I dig the way it looks. It is built extremely well. It is solid. It has a nice responsive button with good resistance, it does not accidentally come on in your pocket. Anduril is amazing, I highly recommend taking the time to learn it. The ramping brightness setting is excellent, you can always adjust to the right amount of light you need. The beam is very floody and makes a good light to work in. You can be very economic about conserving your battery. I love the way the button always stays lit, it makes the light easy to find and it looks awesome. The magnet in the tail is pretty good, it has to be mounted on a flat surface to stay put. The switchable pocket clip is great as well. I highly recommend this light. Lumintop makes some nice stuff. A+. I think this is my new favorite light.
