YONICO14146q 1/2-Inch Laminate Flush Trim Router Bit 1/4-Inch Shank

I was a little dubious on receipt of this router bit as the Tungsten Carbide Cutters do not appear to be as well ground and sharp as some other manufacturers. The Yonico router bit does appear to be well constructed which seemed to be a shame to be let down by the final finishing. At this point I can’t say what the durability of this bit is likely to be. However in use this bit did trim a 38mm laminated worktop without any chip out. I am reservedly satisfied as to the performance of this router bit at this moment in time. The price is very competitive offering good affordability. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and will make further purchases of Yonico bits.

I used my new YONICO Flush Trim Router Bit (1-Inch Height X 3/4-Inch Diameter 1/2-Inch Shank) to flush trim the 3/4" thick plywood top of my new drill press table. Cut was roughly 3/16" all around (almost 8-feet total length) and was made with the YONICO bit in a Bosch 1617EVS operated at 20,000 rpm. I made the cuts with router in hand, doing one side at a time, and found it very effective at giving a very flush cut with the frame below and a very smooth cut at the top edge and overall. The short rest between sides allowed the bit to cool a bit and the bearing to roll smoothly, so I noticed no discernable dulling or other issues between the start and the finish of my cuts. I'm not sure how this would hold up under extended use in a professional environment but I found it very cost effective for a casual DIYer who only needs it occasionally and who is willing to take care of it by cleaning and oiling afterward.
