Great companion to Sacred Scripture
Absolutely brilliant! This diary of Saint Maria Fuastina Kowalska is a masterpiece in literature; not for the sake of the writing, but the content. She was told by her confessor to write a diary of everything that was happening in her life, even speaking with Jesus and His blessed mother. She was ill for most of the time she wrote and didn't want to write, but she obeyed her superiors and kept this diary of her thoughts and conversations she had with our Lord and Savior. Jesus appeared to her many times and on one occasion, told her to have a portrait painted just as He appeared to her and have the words "Jesus, I trust in you" engraved at the bottom. Jesus commanded Sister Faustina to spread the devotion to His divine mercy; even reciting to her the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for her and to have it known throughout the world. Jesus is mercy and love. This diary is all about His divine mercy and love for souls. Many promises were made by our Lord to those who say this chaplet and venerate His portrait. Each Catholic home should have this divine mercy portrait and pray the chaplet during the 3:00PM hour, which is the hour our Lord gave up His spirit to His father and is the hour of his divine mercy. This diary along with "The Imitation of Christ" are great companions to Sacred Scripture.

Love the book!!
I have learned so much about the love and mercy of God. It's like a love story between God and St. Faustina. The great thing about the book is that God spoke so often and plainly to St. Faustina. I come to know more in depth of what God want of us and give us. I have spoken to others who have read the book it did not have much of an impact on them. Which is sad. Through the merciful grace of God, I have grown closer to God from reading this book. I did not speed read through the book. I read a few pages at a time and meditated upon it. I'll be rereading this book again real soon.

Well Worth the Effort
This is an exquisite diary of a Saint's personal experiences with Jesus Christ, revealing the Truth and Interactive practices of his Divine Mercy. It is, admittedly, a very densely-packed book ... definitely not for casual reading. But it is absolutely well worth the effort taken.I have read this incredible book in its entirety five times now - and consistently experience new "lights-of-understanding" with each reading.Of course I have favorite passages, to which I refer at various times.I do not hesitate in recommending this book to everyone: Catholic and Protestant Christians.

Beautiful book on true devotion to God's Mercy!
The spiritual journey of this simple childlike saint reminds us of how Jesus wants us to have childlike souls. Accepting sacrifice for the sake of his mercy and love. May God bless all those who read this work and honor the request of our Lord for this devotion to God's mercy.

Divine Mercy
I had read this book as a paperback several years ago. It is a wonderous story of St Faustina's diary of her life in a Polish convent and the written record of her love of Christ and of His love of her and the endless mercy He has for all humankind. I pick it up from time to time to read excerpts and to reflect. I was very pleased when it was offered as a Kindle book as now I can read also anytime on my phone or iPad. I think this is a book that can be read over and over, and that it is a book that every Christian, and especially every Catholic should discover. It is invaluable, God wants to pour out His Mercy on everyone.

Inspiring
This is an inspiring diary written by a beautiful soul. I purchased this as a kindle edition which allows me to easily adjust the font for easier reading. It is also much easier to search for terms. For example, a search for eucharist will highlight this word everywhere in the text. No more thumbing through to find what I want. This is not meant to be read from cover to cover, but to skip around the entries for meditation on the topic you are interested in.

This is an excellent book. My only problem with it is that ...
This is an excellent book. My only problem with it is that it is very repetitive. It took me a long time to get through it but I was determined to do so, and finally did. The thing I liked most about it was the message. We should all make every effort to spread the Divine Mercy chaplet; it is a very powerful prayer and greatly benefits all who are in any way connected to it, not just those who pray it, but those for whom they pray. She is truly a great saint.
