Del Monte Pear Halves in Juice, 415g

Del Monte is a reliable, good quality brand that grows and sells good tinned fruits.These are especially good because they are in juice rather than the cheaper and less good for you sugared water.The makers ensure that the quality is consistent and good.I like these pears with a supermarket's own brand of oat cereal in a morning.The combination of fibre and fruit provides a good hit of my five a day and provides a good breakfast that delivers the energy gradually throughout the morning.Thus I don't get the craving for snacks and the resulting bad effects- calories, salt sugar and the like.The actual juice itself is really pleasant to drink too.A win win situation.If you do not eat all the pears in one go I would recommend you decant the remainder into a plastic box or even a glass topped with cling film.The pears and juice will react with the exposed can/tin and may mar the flavour.They taste better cold from the fridge in my opinion.Other tinned pears may be as good BUT will not be as consistent as Del Monte.The slightly higher price you pay- much cheaper on Amazon that the high street means you really are getting a good product.Recommended.

Del Monte quality - great value buying in bulk. Sweet but not overly soft - just how pears should be :D

Fab brand that is reliable. These pears are tasty and soft. Perfect to keep a couple of tins in the store cupboard for when no fresh pears are available. They make a quick dessert on their own or in recipes. Good price as well.

amazing peeled pears. thank the good Lord. these pears look fresh and clean and the skin has been peeelllled off. was first time buuying an wasnt sure but it didnt disappoint and would definately recommend. great taste . comes in syrup. keep up the good work. great brand

Obwohl neuerdings alle um unseren Zuckerverbrauch besorgt zu sein scheinen, sind die Birnen noch lecker, ohne sie nachsüßen zu müssen. Ich würde sie wieder kaufen (und etwas nachsüßen) ;-)
