Bar Harbor Juice Maine Lobster, 8 Ounce

I use this lobster juice, which is very mild in flavor, to add to Shrimp Scampi in order to decrease the amount of oil and butter. I gives it a super delicious taste to the recipe.

The product description of 8 oz QTY 12 is a LIE. I only received 1 bottle making the price ridiculous. The product is great and I ordered it because the store where I previously bought this no longer carries it. I will NOT pay 5 times what it usually costs however.

If you get a bottle, you MUST use it all because the cap on the bottle is useless. You cannot preserve any remainder of the liquid for future recipes. ALSO it was difficult to open. I was not aware of the faulty cap with NO POURING SPOUT or STRAINING SPOUT to control the amount of the juice pouring from the bottle because the complete top of the bottle INCLUDING THE CAP is wrapped & sealed in thick bloody red plastic that you cannot see through. When I got home and started cooking, I was so excited to use the lobster juice for the 1st time. It took forever with me fussing with a can opener after unsuccessfully trying to twist it open with my hands using a towel for better grip. I was SO ANGRY. It's 2021. Reusable bottle tops, caps and spouts have been figured out for awhile now. Just like how we no longer see commercials about dish detergent, thick ketchups and trash bags that don't rip. Bar Harbor, Classic doesn't mean stubbornly old fashioned. PLUS, wrestling with that bottle aggravated the arthritis in my hands and my wrist carpal tunnel. SERIOUSLY . BEWARE. The juice tasted good, fresh and helped my soup BUT IT WASN'T WORTH THE MONEY & PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL TRAUMA. I wound up pouring out some older sauce with a good bottle and had to pour the extra lobster juice in there. Now, gotta remember the bottle that says Wasabi-Ginger Peanut Sauce is NOW Maine Lobster Juice. And I made sure to write down the expiration date. Funny, says its good til 2023. Hahahahahahahahaha! NOT in THAT DEFECTIVE bottle.
