A book with a positive and uplifting vision, so needed for today
After the second World War, Albert Camus the poet said, "The trouble with Europe is that it has lost its love for life." In the commentaries of the Indian mystic Osho on Friedrich Nietzche's Thus Spake Zarathustra, the modern European may find some inspiration for a new religion of love for life. Peter Sloterdijk, German Philosopher

Nice Sufist take on a masterpiece
I was hesitant to buy this book since I’m something of a Nietzsche scholar and, like most scholars, I’m a prick. Given Nietzsches reputation, which has all but been bludgeoned to death by ignorant readers throughout the ages, I was skeptical of any modern spiritual interpretation that someone could have, especially when it comes to Thus Spoketh Zarathustra.I’m glad I bought it though. Not only does he get the main point correct, that Nietzsche was NOT a nihilist, but he also has some very interesting and even fecund elucidations on passages throughout the work. The biggest issue I had with this, however, is simply in the passages that Osho decided to focus on. Not only do I not think they are the most important/insightful, but he chose the ones that are pretty straight-forward. I would have liked to see Osho tackle some more hard-hitting passages that actually force people to think.Good read though. Only took about 3.5 hours to read the book in its entirety, while also annotating it, so not too much of a commitment. I would highly recommend reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra prior to reading this book though, as I think Osho missed the point a couple of times and it’s healthy to have your own perspective on something before merely reading someone else’s… wow I felt hypocritical writing that last phrase as a part of a review

Curate's Egg
I have read a few osho books. Like most of them it mixes insight with humour. This starts well but his reading of Nietzche becomes a littel strained towards the end.
