I work in the oilfield and we travel a lot of back roads that are not paved and have big ruts and potholes. I don't ha e to worry about my phone jarring loose on these roads with this product. It grips tight and holds firm! I will ALWAYS order it whenever I need to. I've had it in the last 3 vehicles I've purchased

Does a great job and easily moved between my POV and different ambulances.Bought some more for family.Hard turns the vent grip can come loose, but regular driving no issues.Oh, the magnet is strong, so slide the phone down or to the side to remove from magnet. If you pull straight, it pulls the stand off the vents. No damage noted to any vents .

It was a little bit bigger than I thought it would be, but it works a lot better than my window mount It's more secure and has more surface area.

Stuck this on an AMPS mounting adapter that has a RAM Mount 1-inch rubber ball, which is itself attached using the rear view mirror mount. It readily and firmly grabs onto my iPhone 7 Plus and holds it perfectly steady, but is not at all difficult to remove by tilting in any direction. It's grippy enough that I don't even really need to be particularly careful about alignment - get it in the right neighborhood and it sticks on the first try. I can even insert or remove the charging cable one-handed (though I'm using the fairly thin Nomad leather case, so YMMV.) The adhesive has held up so far, but if it fails, I'll probably just remove the back half of this mount and screw it directly onto the plate.I wish Scosche would make these with ball mounts for Garmin and RAM, or with a tripod screw, or something else, but until they do, the adhesive version is probably as good as we're gonna get. The AMPS mount is very close in size, so much so that it's almost seamless. From the driver's perspective facing it directly, I can't see the AMPS mount behind it.

I wanted something STRONG that could hold my phone vertically in the car with normal driving conditions - where my phone kept falling off my previous 4-magnet mount. So I found this 8 magnet version.Pros: 8-magnets make a very strong magnetic hold and works well through most driving conditions except for really hard bumps on potholes/speedbumps...etc. The only thing stronger would be the 10-magnet Wixgear rectangular model. As long as your mounting surface is clean (and NEVER treated with Armor All), the double sided tape holds firm and strong. So if you're looking for something stronger than the standard 4-magnet mounts, this would probably be on your list.Cons: As shown in the photo, the rubber surface can get quite tired-looking and ugly with use. Also, this isn't exactly thin (0.47 inches). There's some bulk to it. So in situations where aesthetics are important, this may not look that great. The way the magnets are arranged inside the square, it looks possible that maybe an additional 2-4 more magnets could possibly be added by the manufacturer to make this an even stronger product (ie; magnet arrangement doesn't make very efficient use of space inside the mount - making this possibly bulkier than necessary).

Little larger than I had hoped, but I wanted 2x the magnets for my Note 10+. Might've gotten away with regular model, this is a couple inches (or more) across and I had trouble finding 4 square inches of flat real estate on my dash. Had to cover the 12v outlet to place it. Everything in truck is hardwired so I didn't care. That being said: this thing is strong. Could easily hold a full size tablet, much less my large phone. If I use the larger metal plate between the phone and its case, I can't even get the thing off the magnet while driving; the small metal plate was more than enough. So, great mount, just wish it was 1/2 inch smaller.

Just got this but works great so far.. just was thought to find somewhere to place in my car with all the buttons and screen... but found one place that works.. easy to install and use... holds my iPad Pro 10” great!

This is one you want. The XL size gives you the bet surface area for quick connect of the modern larger iPhone devices. The magnet is strong enough to hold my phone (aka navigation device) during some pretty intense off-road trails in Moab, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Virginia and more...I have mine mounted to a Ram plate plate that is connection to a 67Designs system on the dash of my 15' Wrangler. The 3M adhesive is heavy duty and even in 118 degree heat, has never let me down!

yes, I bulked at the initial price of the magmount however, I have bought several of these for different locations. Initially it was for a car mount which was perfect and even with substantial bumps stayed in place. I then put one on my golf cart so that I could keep score and it has never fallen off. last place I have it is on a selfie stick, I’ve always been a little bit more cautious but again it rarely becomes detached. All in all a very good product.

These things work really well. I bought two more. I use it for cell phones and is even strong enough to hold my Microsoft Surface tablet. I was a bit put off by the price. Seems a little high. But it works and works well, so I've purchased a total of four of them.I have one on the wall by the door, one in the kitchen, one at work and one in my living room. It's discrete.
