Lots of great information in a very readable format.Have all of Mike's books and really like them, lots of good advice.

I wish it had more technical information instead of just things to consider. I would like a how-to book from him. He is my favorite contractor.

Not what I was expecting to be. Doesn't go deep into the matter...just basic stuff, you would already know. The book is good quality though... Solid cover, thick spine, very well glued :)

Fairly generic advice but a great guide for beginners

i dont even remember buying this book, nor can i find it in my house, soooo i dunno...3 stars because my memory sucks lol

This book is definitely NOT for the person looking to finish their basement themselves. While there are a few good pointers for designing and planning the project, there are very few details, and for virtually every stage he recommends hiring a professional to do it; even for painting and trim work. If you are planning on hiring a contractor for the entire project, this book might be for you, if not, pass.

Too high level. The bookmismfull of good general advices but there is no technical details.This is not for the DIY type.
