... for a few weeks now and am totally in love. They feel great
I have had these gloves for a few weeks now and am totally in love. They feel great, warm enough for those 30 degree mornings, tons of grip and a little padding to take the sting off. I have searched for a while for a pair of gloves that i can throw a good flick with (i have a funny grip that involves the side of my finger) and totally found one in these. They are nice enough to throw in that even though it got warm enough at my last tournament to take them off, i didn't.Unfortunately, my pair ended up having a little defect in them and the seam came undone a bit. Fortunately, there is a season warranty on them, so Mint gave me a code for a new pair. Apparently they haven't had this issue in the past, so we are hoping it was just a fluke thing and not the curse of my funny flick grip. Regardless, the people at Mint were super helpful! They got right back to me, and obviously demonstrated a commitment to the happiness of their customers and the improvement of their product.Don't let my little situation deter you, these gloves are wonderful and i would 10/10 recommend (especially with my positive experiences with the company)! Secretly considering making a team order happen next year...

They run small. Size up.
These gloves work well. They don't seem to mess up my throwing and help with catching. But they run small. I got an XL and should have gotten XXL. The finger length is fine--I have relatively short fingers but have a large palm. These aren't long enough in the palm--they don't come to my wrist so the base of my palm is not covered. That makes them tend to slide up towards my fingers at times. So I am constantly tugging on them to pull them down. For reference my middle finger is 3.5 inches long and the distance from the base of my middle finger to y wrist is 4.5 inches and the distance across my palm (from just above thumb crease) is 3 and 7/8 in. Get at least one size bigger than you think. Also note these won't keep your fingers super warm in cold conditions--they are thin, so I put a heat pack on the top of my palm and they work fine keeping my fingers relatively warm in cool, moist Seattle winters.

CUTTER GLOVE!!!
Disclaimer, I haven't gotten to use this product yet so 3 stars is inaccurate, but will update this review after the weekend and some chance to assess. This pertains to high level players that are acutely concerned with their performance as a handler in regards to gloves. From a pure handler perspective: I ordered this pair from Amazon because I loved my original version one Mint gloves 3 years ago, they were the best handling gloves on the market for good weather/indoor throwing. With smooth leather palms and fingers plus the minimalist design, the original glove gave a tight true fit compared to the baggy friction/layout gloves. The fault was that in humid/wet/rainy/sweaty conditions the leather became too slick to effectively make tough throws in. The gloves were unpredictable and playing barehanded was the obvious solution to any moisture reaching the glove. By designating them as "dry" gloves their lifespan was impressive, I got over 15 tournaments and hundreds of hours of practice in with them before the leather on my throwing palm split open on a layout D. The Velcro was starting to go but I'm sure there's a fix for that. This product that you're reading the review for is Mint's "Cutter" glove, although it is not expressed on the website. The palms and tack on the fingers seem exactly the same as all Friction gloves, without the bagginess. I'm confident these gloves will help my grip in moist conditions, and I assume hurt my "touch" throws as I have always felt Friction/Layout gloves do in dry conditions.Another strange aspect that I noticed about my Mint gloves the last three years was the "sweat pad" built into the bottom thumb area of the backside of the glove. It works amazingly well for clearing forehead sweat mid-game, but continued sweat wiping throughout a tournament always left me with two or three minor pimples on Monday, specifically inbetween my eyebrows. (I guess thats where I cleared sweat off of most regularly, to keep it out of my eyes) Maybe I still am predisposed to acne but thought I long outgrew that phase of my life. Regardless, be wary of constantly wiping up your sweat with sweaty pads from the glove if you notice acne. Please Mint, if you have any of those old v1 smooth leather palm/finger gloves laying around, get in contact with me! I'd love to buy several pairs. In dry conditions, those v1's brought me to a new level of throwing no other product has been able to compete with.

Mint makes their best glove yet.
Want weather has arrived in the south and with the humidity near 100% flick huck disappears with some help. So I'm actually buying gloves for throwing instead of catching.Got Mint gloves a few weeks ago and immediately I noticed they had taken their first two versions and combined the strengths of both plus a few additions to make a really good product. When I put mine on I notice the fingers are very snug, but the stretchy fabric that covers the entire back of the glove meant they fit well and stayed in place. The grip of the palm seems like it is more durable than the second edition and thinner than the first edition. Nice padding at the top of the palm, terry cloth on the back of the thumb and the glove ends at the base of the palm. Love the feel. One great addition is the stretch in the palm. Slits in the grip material with the stretch fabric in the gap will definitely make this glove more durable and gets rid of the weird bubble over your palm that I've had with other gloves. I also like that the Velcro closure is design in a way that it won't stick to and damage other fabric.I still haven't worn these through a full tournament to see how they do when soaked or had a gnarly layout to test the fabric strength but Mint stands by their product so I feel pretty confident.Overall, best glove I've had yet. Very well designed and quality craftsmanshipWould recommend for sure. If in doubt with sizing, go with finger and hand length over palm width.
