This book is beyond anything I have ever read. Touches every dark place you have. But, it also shows you just what the human mind and body is capable of. From shielding ones self from the places that we are yet able to face. To slowly awakening our soul to the things ones brain has shielded from us and things we have just realized we can now deal with

This is one of the most heart wrenching stories I have ever read especially since it is written by the multiple personalites who shared Trudi Chase's body and mind. It is the worst case of child sexual and physical abuse I have ever heard of in all my years in psychiatry. The chaos that is with her all the time is terrifying but it points out what sexual abuse can do to a child and how it splits their personality apart and the Troops tell how they all function and what they do for Trudi...it is well worth reading and having as a permanent part of you library.

I saw a clip on Oprah about this woman and her story . It seemed very interesting and I found this book about her experience.WHAT A BORUNG SLOW AWFUL READ. I do not recommend!!!!I'm in Chapter 11....and just barely getting into her multiples and what happened to her...just barely. Up until now it's been mostly about her Drs practice and his other patient!!!Very strange read and not the kind of book that keeps you wanting for more. I will have to force myself to finish this!!!
