ZoggsPhantom Elite Polarized Goggles

Leaky (I swim laps)
Faces are different, so not all goggles work on all faces. I usually have pretty good luck with Zoggs, but not this time. I swim laps about 3 days a week, so I put these goggles to pretty good use. Unfortunately, they were leaky pretty much out of the box. I imagine they would work just fine for recreational-style swimming and splashing around, but they leak too much for serious lap swimming. However, if the goggles are not leaky for you, then these are pretty good goggles. The tint is good for both indoor and out. They are easy to adjust and are relatively comfortable.

Comfortable, versatile polarization, wide field of view
I got these goggles for open-water swimming, but I use them as my primary (indoor) googles as well. The polarization is dark enough for outside, but plenty transparent for indoors. I waffled on whether to buy women's goggles or not. I am tall (5'11), so I can often buy men's. The first time I wore these, I thought they were too big, because in making them tight enough to seal, the clearance for my eyelashes was too low. But I realized that I was using them wrong--the nosepiece is very flexible, and if I press the lenses together a bit to center them on my eyes they seal fantastically with great clearance. With that little user adjustment, they are some of the most comfortable and well-sealed goggles I've used. The flexibility is great, the polarization is versatile, and the field of view can't be beat. It's like being a fish!

Fantastic so far
Fantastic so far. They’ve been to 6 indoor pool visits. Even though I have the tinted lenses, I’m able to see clearly in the indoor pool. If I take the time to assure a seal on my face, they don’t have a leaking problem. I've not owned other types or brands so I can’t provide any sort of comparison. I do have a large head and they feel comfortable on my head using the fully extended setting. My eyes are set kinda close vs. wide and they don’t give me any issues there either. They have fogged up on me but if I wash them with soap and tap water after a swim, it reduces the fogging during my next use. 4 because I’ve not used them enough to give them a 5

Disappointed by comparison
I've been wearing the Zoggs Cabanas this season and love them but they were scratched and I was looking for something a little slicker looking. Unfortunately, the Phantom Elite is a combination of good ideas with poor execution. The fit around my eye is good (I'm a big guy with a large head), I like the polarized lenses, and the ratchet on the side for tightening/loosening. The Phantom Elite goggles sit so close to my eyes that I cannot focus - I am literally seeing doubles. I can't focus on the line at the bottom of the pool - I feel like I'm wearing glasses that aren't my prescription. Not only that, the right goggle insists on filling with water and it's not a (lack of) tightness issues - there is no suction from the latex. The latex around the goggles and the strap feels both strong and weak - thick and durable but not stretchy, more like a tire than a swim cap. Overall, I am really dissatisfied with these and cannot recommend them. I will be going back to using my $10 Zoggs Cabanas.

Great for open water - not so great in pools
I bought these for triathlons and for that purpose they are spectacular, no fogging, no glare and they are by far the most comfortable goggles I've ever had on. The one shortcoming I have found is that in an indoor pool there is a funny double vision thing happening, not sure if it's the indoor lighting or the close confines that causes it but either way it makes them almost unusable for indoor swims. I would happily buy another pair, but with the knowledge that they are only good for open water swims.

Great with one exception
Athletes spend thousands on bikes. They spend $120 on running shoes. I think they would not have an issue paying a little more for a pair of goggles that don't fog up. I had high hopes for these. They fit great. Super comfy. Didn't leak. Good visibility, but alas, after 10 minutes of swimming they started fogging. The search continues.

You want these goggles - especially if you wear a larger size!
I'd originally ordered a different pair of goggles from a different manufacturer which made no provisions for different head sizes. Sorry, but I have a big head (literally) - "one size fits all" doesn't work for me with baseball caps, nor does it work for me with swim goggles. I returned those and found these Zoggs would let me order a size that worked for me. I took them to the beach this summer on family vacation and they're amazing. They were comfortable and yet water-tight and NEVER fogged up. These are the best goggles I've ever owned and I'll be happy to buy more Zoggs once these wear out.

I can see clearly now!!
I bought these for open water swims and triathlon. So far, I'm blown away by the clarity, the fit and the comfort. There is no water leak (swam 1 mile in open water yesterday), and I swear I saw the bottom of the lake we swim in for the first time. I may have been better off not seeing the bottom, with all the accumulated junk down there!!Sighting out of the water was great, there was no fog or condensation, and the fit was just ridiculously comfortable.

I have been a competitive swimmer for years and have tried many different brands of googles. I could not believe how comfortable these were when I first put them on and swam a workout with them. There were times during the swim when I thought I wasn't wearing googles because of the comfort level. They are also very bright compared to the black smoke googles I typically wear (which is a good thing). They may not work for everyone but they definitely work for more.

although a little more adjustment would be nice. I need a XL size
They fit quite well on the largest adjustment, although a little more adjustment would be nice. I need a XL size.
