Another very good chef's knife
This knife is extremely similar to a couple other knives I've purchased in the past. Not sure if this is intentional, but it is worth noting.Regardless this particular one is just as good as my others. It comes in a pretty nice box that would make it a very nice gift. The knife is balanced very well and (for my hands) has great ergonomics. It just feels nice in my hand. The blade is razor sharp on arrival. Time will tell how well it keeps an edge.As for the honing rod. I mean, it's a metal honing rod. There isn't exactly a lot to it. It's a bit shorter than "normal" ones I have, but I will say the thing is quite hefty for it's size. Not sure what that really means at the end of the day, but once again it's worth mentioning. It is very solid and doesn't seem like it will fall apart or have issues. All in all very happy with my new addition to my 8" chef knife collection.

Not worth the retail price.
This is basically the same review I wrote for another cheap knife I bought because it's got the same issues. I got this knife on sale for $12. It's not bad for $12. The finish work on the handle is not so good. It has slightly sharp edges (where they shouldn't be). If the handle was put together better it would be decent. I think the handle material might be plastic. It feels cheap and hollow I like the blade shape. It will probably hold up just fine for a cheap knife. It's probably worth $12... If I paid over $20, I'd return it.

Rust!!
I got a defective Knife! I have purchased this same knife for my 2 sons but this one that I purchased for myself is rusting after very little use. The other 2, no rust. I don't leave it wet, I do not wash it in the dishwasher. I take care of it but it is rusting anyway. I don't see any way to get this thing switched out! I would love to give it another chance since I really like Lau Kingdom.

Not real Damascus steel but a great knife still
Understand that real Damascus steel is hand forged and time consuming (expensive) to make. It appears that a Damascus pattern is imprinted on the blade. I bought it for the shape and hand hold feel. It’s great and very sharp. Hard to beat for the price but if you want real Damascus steel you’ll have to pay more.

Great knife, bonus sharpening steel
This knife comes ready to use right out of the box with an incredibly sharp factory edge. The high-carbon stainless should be easy to sharpen when it dulls from use. The included sharpening steel makes it a snap to refresh the edge. The included presentation box is a great place to keep the knife protected from rubbing against other utensils and dulling the cutting edge. This knife also looks great, as you can see in the attached photos. I really like the wood grain in the handle.

Heck of a great knife!
Awesome knife! I I am a bit particular with the type of steaks that are used for cooking, mostly I try to pick up prime from my local butcher, so it’s usually very tender to start with. But I still usually do some extra trimming depending on the cut. The knife is incredibly sharp, easy to handle, and well balanced. I recently cooked a prime rib for my kids while they were visiting, and it was a wonderful tool. Also, it came with a paring knife as well as a sharpening tool. The packaging was worthy for a gift, and I am very happy with this product.

A Handsome, Sturdy and Useful Kitchen Knife
When my Laukingdom Chef Knife arrived in an attractive box I was hopeful that the quality of the knife itself wouldn't be overwhelmed by the packaging. I am pleased to report that this knife is another terrific addition to my busy kitchen. It is ergonomic, super sharp, and versatile: great for precision tasks like making mirepoix or boning a whole chicken. I am always happy to add another solid knife to my kitchen tools...and this one includes a sharpener.
