You'll survive when Hell freezes over.
I'm a customer who is willing to pay for quality. In this day and age of imported "milspec" knock-off products, it's taking me a while to find equipment that I can depend on when shtf. Forget about shelling out $$$$ for that Patagonia, North Face, Arcteryx, etc. wet weather parka. Yes, they'll do the job and I've been there with the fancy labels. But this USGI parka blows them all out of the water. It's overbuilt and field-tested, and it can save your life when hypothermia is a real threat to your existence. It doesn't come any better than this. One word about the seller, Armosurplus890. They were very prompt, and my order of two jackets arrived to its final destination 2500 miles away within a week. The packaging was not damaged, and the jackets are brand new. I would definitely buy from them again.

penny for pound, best gore-tex shell you could buy
Still the best 2.5 season outerwear for the money. Just have to not care that you are walking around in desert digital pattern. Possibly the heaviest gore-tex material available, all seams gore-tex sealed, heavy-duty construction, dual map/mummy pockets with velcro for easy gloved access, hidden hood and chin cover, pit zips, powder script, heavy-duty velcro enclosures, mil-grade zippers, front wind flat, and regular dual-use front pockets is about the best outer-layer protection you could ever buy. It outperforms my $750 North face shell in every way except style. When I want to meet chicks on the slope, I'll wear that. But for something that is ready to protect you in conditions from a chilly spring day to a mid-winter Atlantic storm, nothing beats this jacket. There is a reason that tens of thousands of American troops are issued this jacket every winter - it works. And at the price, it doesn't matter if it gets dirty or somehow it gets a small hole One note - it is a chilly shell - its just the fabric with no lining, so you will probably want a lined under jacket for colder days. But alone, this is good into the high 40's. And with 4 or 5 good layers, I've had it out into the negative numbers with winds 20-25 mph. Had one for three years and its proved its value over and over. Just bought me a second in case I need a backup.

Great quality but narrow shoulders
This was a great jacket. I have broad shoulders (a lil larger than a 46 jacket). Most outerwear fits me fine as a large, except the sleeve and body length tends to be too long. This jacket was a Large Short, but the shoulders were narrower than usual, which with a normal short sleeve, made the sleeves ride up about 5 inches too high. I gave this one away, but now don’t know if I should buy a regular Large or go XL Short?

best rain jacket I've had
The quality seems good. The only thing I can't work out is - it doesn't appear to have moisture wicking cuffs, which is in the product description. I think it will be ok for hot weather climate though, which is where it will get used as there is no insulation - time will tell. Not been in the rain yet so cannot comment on its waterproof quality. This is the reason I bought it, so will revisit the review when it gets a torrential tropical dowsing!Update. Fished all day in continuous rain. No problem. Still haven't had it in a heavy downpour though.

Identical to the Army OCIE issued Gortex
If you are needing this product for an OCIE replacement than this is your best bet. The product is identical to the Army issued Gortex jacket.

Just do it.
You can tell that the Department of Defense know how to write a performance specification for combat clothing. This jacket is outstandingly thought through. I am 6' 3", waist 33", chest 42" and weigh 185 lbs. The Medium Long fits me fine, and was only $71. If LL Bean had made this they would charge $400. Just do it.
